£15m bid rejected... http://m.leicestermercury.co.uk/Lei...bid-rejected/story-29381654-detail/story.html Not a fan of this one, honestly can't stand the bloke
Why - especially as we have Danny Simpson on our books. He seems a decent bloke for a footballer http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...-gets-me-into-trouble-sometimes-a6997836.html This is the reason we want him - to be an alternative to Okazaki who we have to admit was ineffectual a lot of the times he played. please log in to view this image
£15M is very high. He isnt a £20M player so just want and see if its turned his head If it hasnt pull out. If it has increase slightly and go again
I disagree, 15m for someone who WILL score goals and offers the team a lot in terms of work rate and effort. 15m is peanuts in today's market. Lets be honest if you were a Watford fan and he was sold for 15m you would be furious.
This could turn into a Matthew Maynard situation!! lol pull out now, Watford wont sell for a sensible price. move on to other targets
They value him at £20M+ because of how important he is to the team - is captain and fulcrum to everything they do. He could potentially be the same for us so can see us bidding that much for him.
Exactly, he is hugely important to them and would be a superb additon imo. we wont get him though as they want silly money (30m mentioned ) Get Musa and Slimani in
He is an English player which we would need for the Champions League but I think we are quite well covered on that with Schmeichel, Drinkwater, Morgan, James, Vardy, King, Albrighton, Schlupp, Simpson and Gray counting as home grown
Neither of them play in Deeney's position - Musa is a winger/#9 and Slimani is a #9. Deeney is a #10 and has proved he is Premier League level. If Hodgson had any balls, he would have called him up for the expanded squad instead of one of the commercially known sicknotes.
We have enough home grown players so no worries on that front - his value is that he is a proven Premier League player. Also think Huth counts as well through residency.
Would not waste my time with him! When we tried to sign him before he gave us a slap in the face and signed a new contract with Watford, so as far as I am concerned he can stay with Watford.
As long as someones scoring goals, im not bothered Watford surely see him as their version of Vardy, don't think he'll be leaving them unless he requests it, which is highly unlikely. Can't believe hes not got a champions league release clause, thought they were mandatory these days
That's a good thing though, shows he has loyalty. Would you be happier if he threw his toys out the pram? Would then do the same here. If Vardy stays, which I think he will, I'd be very tempted to go up to about £26m for him - can see them complimenting each other VERY well
Troy Deeney wants to come according to the Mirror http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leicester-see-20million-troy-deeney-8151425
