quite amused when I saw that yesterday, over a hundred pitch's at the mo... germans amused at the rules!

A couple of years ago I saw on the net that SV Hamburg who play in the Bundesliga, already have a cricket section in addition to football, athletics and other sports.

Will SL and Bristol Sport have a cricket club "Bristolshire" as part of BS?

 

He was rumoured to be interested in buying a cricket club if they go city's not counties.

 

Isn't Bristol a county as well as a city? It certainly was at one time.

 

But how many times do you find on the internet that Avon is still mentioned when you have to put a BS post code in ?

 

Don't know why, but that bloody well annoys me!! I should have put the county of "Avon" in Room 101!!

 

I don't think it could be called a "shire" could be close though they always go in for T..

 

It does my head in, especially as Avon (as a county) officially ceased to exist 20 years ago !!!!

 

Avon did, however Bristol is now the city and county of Bristol, but unlike some of the other "county towns" Durham Notts and Leicester DOES NOT HAVE THE SAME "STATUS"

 

No it doesn't.
But look at it this way.
That puts us in the same bracket as London, Birmingham and New York

 

And Peckham ?

 

But they don't have
A) no team exist
b) no players
C) no ground
D) no fans
So really not much to go on
