Looks like the HDM is doing a bit of arse-licking this morning (you can tell Phil Buckingham's on holiday)... please log in to view this image
Do City still advertise in the HDM? ThHis to me has all the hallmarks of "if you dont print some positive stories, we're cutting our advertising". For a paper like the HDM they wouldnt survive without advertising and they crumble every time on this. I know cos Ive done it myself.
I don't think any deleting is applicable. Most of them aren't "I'm alright Jacks". They just don't want to stop going. I'm a boycotter like you, but it's wrong to assume that everyone who isn't supports the scheme.
This paragraph of that report is the most damning. "Season pass prices have been increased by just £10 in all stands from the early bird rate, which saw 14,500 passes sold at last season's prices ahead of the Tigers sealing promotion." Before we were promoted this time around we had sold a reported 6000 Memberships. That's 8500 less for what the club are saying is a better deal. They had an extra couple of weeks this time around too. Whether you support the Allam's or not there's no denying these idiots have played a leading role when it comes to our rapidly dwindling support. They, along with many others should feel ashamed. The sad truth is that they won't, they'll put a positive spin on it, supported blindly by those who support them regardless, usually with the excuse "they're successful businessmen".
We have reluctantly signed up to the membership scheme. It's not about being I'm alright Jack, it's about not letting the current owners prevent us from supporting the team we love. For me that is doing the right thing
Daft lad. I am a Hull City supporter. I go to watch them as much as possible, regardless of who is in charge or owns the club. Hull City are my team, not theirs. And in a few months or years when they've ****ed off i'll still be going regardless of who ever is sat in the dug out and the directors box. Sorry if this 'sickens' you.
The club has chosen their words carefully saying they welcome the figure, which they hope will reach 10,000 by the priority date for season ticket holders to renew. Hardly a gushing comment about the figures. Frankly if you were the CEO of any other company, and it was achieving these sort of sales figures, you would probably be out on your ear.
I can't see either side being happy with the numbers. It's more than I would have liked to see sign up, as it reduces the arguments against the scheme, but the club can't really be happy either. There are still new pass holders to sign up but will those who pay on a match by match basis be added to the 'membership' numbers?
I wasnt referring to the owners in my post. I was referring to a membership scheme that is morally reprehensible. Personally, I would have loved it if not a single membership was sold as fans - some of whom are better off under this new deal - showed support to stand side-by-side with those young fans and elderly who have been ****ed in the arse over this.
In a normal world, you'd look at these figures and question your strategy and how and why you've gone wrong the Allams only have themselves to blame plus a couple of sycophants, they have always lacked an objective-minded consultant reap what you sow and now it's coming to fruition
Look, I'm not being funny and you dont have to answer to me - you can do what the hell you want and Im sure you dont give two or even one hoot about my opinion - but how is signing up for something opposing it? As soon as anybody signs up for the membership it's a mandate for them to continue with it. If you want to support the team then great, but you can do that without signing up for the membership.
they hope to reach 10,000 but then that would be approx 2000 season card holders that haven't renewed although we have been promoted and theres no big outlay for a pass, Is that correct?
so in the biggest Pl season in history money wise, people like pepp at citeh, jose at scum and even wenger splashing the cash WE are advertising we are hoping our pass renewals are 2500 down!!!! I think we've hit rock bottom surley the penny has to drop with the powers that be soon, its a disgrace
I don't really understand the benefit of this scheme apart from fleecing those that shouldn't be paying more.....? Does anyone else know what other benefits the club will get
