We call them buyers Dai <ok> When you buy a car, that makes you a buyer or a purchaser of a car and not an investor in Fords.

Everything done up to this point is strictly to enhance the new owners , including the attempt to get enough a % to deem the supporters trust useless , behind the backs of the trust .
I'm not sure what happens from here but what was attempted toward the supporters trust by both old and new owners has me more than worried that our safety line is about to be cut
I would like to know what bearing 60 % ownership, plus a quarenteed part % of voting rights from the rest of the 40 % , has on the Supporters Trust ability to have any bearing in the future .

I think its already cut Roof. What bareing will they have on the future of our club, little to none I reckon as the new owners can vote them down every single time. The value of the shares to the trust has all but disappeared under this takeover and any power they had dissipated, they've effectively been cornered and marginalised. What do they do, they have no say in the club at all, they can't exactly sell their shares, can they? what happens if they did? where would the money go? and who would buy dead shares anyway. I imagine, the consortium would be the only ones interested in a cut price purchase deal.

We are not the same club anymore Roof, we do not have a say and we are at the whim of a bunch of unknown, unnamed, foreign business men. One of them could be Tony Petty for all we know.

I'm depressed, off to the pub

The old owners make a fortune , the trust not only make nothing but the importance they had when they came to bat for the team when they were severely needed ..... is kicked to the curb like common garbage
Everyone thought we were special , now we are just them ....I'll always support the team , I'll just always be a bit sad knowing the old owners stopped caring about anything but themselves ..... The sneaky fukers ....especially Morgan the prick ....

Not sure about the who sold what , and I wouldn't hold my breath waiting to find out .
Rest assured Morgan's probably sold nearly all his and I hope women in his life take a massive chunk of it .
The new owners went from wanting 73 % to 60 % + guarenteed voting rights on a % of others to quickly for my liking .There is small print involved IMO that will see them do to the supporters trust , what they were trying to do with 75% , with 60%.

The investors are said to see the expansion – to a potential 32,000 – of the Liberty Stadium as key to future plans, with a purchase of the ground from the local council intrinsically linked and will explore next steps on that front. The current board’s frustration at their lack of manoeuvrability on this front is said to have convinced some that external investment was needed after their 12 years at the helm, with several directors long having the belief that the club need to grow its fanbase and numbers through the turnstile in order to fully capture a new, larger generation of Swansea fans

WHAT MONEY CAN SWANSEA EXPECT TO HAVE IN THE TRANSFER WINDOW?

That will be one of the big questions Swansea fans will have once the more serious issues of what this all means die down. There are not thought to be any specific ‘war-chests’ outlined for this summer and there should be no expectation of enormous fees being paid that would suddenly rip up Swansea’s previous method of careful financial and transfer management. However, there would be ultimately increased funds available to allow the club to better compete in the market than they have done previously. - WalesOnine

For what it's worth my opinion is that the timing of this takeover is no accident, it comes just as we see the TV rights revenue increased next season to £4 Billion shared equally amongst the Premier League clubs? This for me is the overriding reason, that this consortium has purchased complete control of the Swans.........<ok>

I think it's unfair to say that, these ****ing pricks as you put it saved our club, some of them put their houses and businesses on the line to invest money into the club. They have a right to get out when they want. We should actually be ****ing thankful to them.

The trust will sell its shares and these people will take full ownership imo, the only thing I can say who will get that money? I think it should all go to local grass roots football.

And we are a special club, owners come and owners go, the club remains, the supporters remain, that is special

I find it very surprising the level of hostility being shown toward the takeover of the club, it is far too early to pass judgement yet, the ink has nearly dried on the paper. These negotiations have been on going for the best part of a year and I'm sure that in spite of the massive profits some of the clubs board members have made, they will still have had the best interest of the club at heart. The new owners are powerless too do anything yet until the deal is ratified by the F.A. and even then they are bound to give little away in the early stages. The best way to judge them is on results so we should at the very least allow them that time. Actions prove louder than words.

To be honest it's nothing really to do with the trust negotiating wise, obviously they need to know how things are going to stand now in terms of how the business is going to be run. But this selling of shares is a private matter basically

You mean the 2nd biggest owner of shares ( the Trust ) , who could never make money but came to the aid of the club at a bad time is left in the dark while the other owners make a bundle without informing the trust of anything is all good with you ?
