Crikey lads, Epsom Oaks already?? DIAMONDS POUR MOI Something eyecatching about her at Chester. An argument to say she was beaten fair and square by Ballyoyle 'second string' SOMEHOW, but Diamonds Pour Moi to me looked like a filly who wanted a better pace, travelling really powerfully up the back of the leaders, who slowed things markedly and allowed Somehow back into the race that day. On the turn, Diamonds Pour Moi got shifted very wide but made up a good couple of lengths as she looked to hit the straight and make her challenge, only for Somehow to barge her further wider. She came home well and will have learnt plenty around the tight Chester bends. Oisin Murphy will win a classic sooner rather than later and for me it could well be Friday in the Oaks. Really like Skiffle also but this will be her 3rd run in less than a month since her debut and it is a huge ask, whereas for Diamounds Pour Moi this has been the logical route all along and Beckett knows his fillies. The rain should not present an issue either and I think she looked quite a big price.

There's no point kidding ourselves with the Oaks really is there? If Minding runs to scratch, she wins comfortably. It wasn't long ago they were saying she would win the Derby even. Even the last day herself and Jet Setting pulled way clear of the pack and my only concern would be the amount of runs in a short amount of time for her. Although, I was equally as confident about Legatissimo last year too! Jet Setting is set to be sold on later this month as well. Wise move on the current owners behalf, cheap purchase and they have decided to take the profit which is wise from a business perspective and what a price she could fetch?!
