No drive by shootings whilst you were at lunch, but somehow Liverpool managed to concede another three goals...

Come on Swarbs. You can do better than that with your towering intellect! We've already covered that one with "Bet you enjoyed the result last night".

Have you read that Quantum book I mentioned, by the way. If not, do. You'll enjoy it.

Sorry, I was trying my best to sink to your drive by shooting level ;)

Haven't read that book, but will try to find it when I'm back in the UK next week.

At least I tarred myself with the 'hubcap' cliche. People seemed to want to return to the usual banality we experience on here. Talking of which, we've got two prize ballons on here today. Have a look at these threads: 'Calling All Moderators, Calling All Moderators' and "They've put him in the shop window" You'll know who I mean, but they're Daggers in My Heart and justyafivetimes. Jesus.

Do you work in Ruskieland by the way? There was a reference to Putin earlier. I'm intrigued as to what you do. You're not Bond, James Bond are you?

    Question to anyone.

I've just been looking at my profile. How do you get 'mates' on here and how to you get rep?

Lol, haven't been paying all that much attention to your board, but you seem to have some nolhmans all of your own...

And I'm sadly not quite James Bond. I work freelance over the internet as a market researcher / analyst kind of think. Like a management consultant for companies that can't afford the big boys. I'm in Russia cos my wife is Russian, the tax rates are low, and childcare is very cheap whilst our daughter is young. Helped us save up a few pennies for a deposit on a house. But coming back to the UK in a few weeks cos the little one is starting nursery in the UK and quality of life is higher.

You get mates by going to people's profile and clicking "Add as a friend" in the top left. I just added you, if you accept it then we will be mates - it's basically like Facebook.

You get rep by people clicking on the six pointed star in the bottom of each post when they agree with what you've posted. If they disagree with you then can give you negative rep the same way. I don't pay that much attention to it to be honest - seems like some boards do tho - lots of the Geordie and Mackem fans have tons of rep.

    At QUB then aye?

We should derail this thread with Northern Irish slang.

Select "Control Panel" in the top right of the forum, and then select "Mates & Contacts" from the list on the left of the screen. You should see my request there and be able to accept it. If not, type my name (or anyone else's you want to be mates with) into the "Add a Member to Your List" box and select "Add Friend".

You'll never be alone on the forum again ;)

"when you look at the pantheon of great teams you need to have won the European Cup to have that tag"

Is still a desperate attempt to be seen as a great manager in European terms before he finally goes, but he failed, great English team, slightly above average in European football Fergie

Its clutching at straws, big clubs win it 4 times....even bigger clubs win it 5 times.
Its unlikely that Slur Alcie will equal what Sir Bob did in just 9 seasons.

Manchuria United are like the McDonalds franchise now and Play McFootball and Scholes has retired so they need a new Ronald.
