I admit that, unlike you. Who still hasn't given me the courtesy of an explanation.

If you gave a **** enough to post it, you should be able to defend it. Not curl up in a ball and ask for Mummy.

I'm guessing the last paragraph is going to make Patty very very happy.

Steve Bruce will take the next 10 days to consider his future as manager of Hull City, according to Sky sources.

Bruce admitted after Hull's 1-0 victory over Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday in the play-off final at Wembley on Saturday that he would find it difficult to leave the club, but that is future is uncertain because of a potential takeover of the club.

Vice chairman Ehab Allam confirmed to Sky Sports News HQ that talks are ongoing over that deal, with interest from several countries including America, China and Thailand.

"I think I need to ask the question because it's out there and people keep asking me, so I've got to ask the question," Bruce told Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday.

"A change of ownership always brings a new broom, sweeps clean. So, I'll have to ask the question and see if it's real, if it's going to happen and that's all I know at the moment."

Hull have been up for sale since 2014 after the Football Association rejected owner Assem Allam's application to change the club's name to Hull Tigers.

The 76-year-old multi-millionaire, who acquired Hull in 2010, missed the majority of the season, including the play-off final, because of ill health.

added: "The chairman is having a tough time with his health at the moment. That's more important than any game of football, so when we are ready, we'll take our time, like we normally do, and try and find a conclusion.

"It's very, very difficult to leave because we are in the Premier League. Everybody wants to be in the Premier League.

"Of course, you want to pit your wits against all these great coaches and managers. Jose's back, Guardiola is round the corner and, of course, little tiny Hull have to take them on."

What really gets on my tits is Steve Bruce calling us "little tiny Hull".
What I like about his comments are "lets see if it's real" regarding the takeover, as though he has had doubts about previous alleged interest.....

No not a huge sleeping giant at all.
But we have been in the Premier league for five years out of eight...been to an FA Cup final, been in Europe, been averaging 15,000 to 25,000 ish for the last 10 years or so, have a population of around 300,000 and are the City of Culture 2017.
So to call us little tiny Hull is a little bit disparaging.

Perfectly Happy for Steve Bruce to stay but he needs to drop the obsession with little old Hull. It was that constant respect for the opposition with 4-6-0 every week that got us relegated.

That small time attitude seems to be the staple of Allam supporters too. Presumably makes it more comfortable for them to support stupid ideas like closing stands rather than filling them.

I think when Bruce talks about 'little old Hull' like he does he is possibly reflecting how he feels about himself in the world of football rather than doing us down as as club/City.

That for me is the most remarkable thing about Steve Bruce. He gathered together a squad of players who just did not fit. We couldn't see if he was building for 4 or 3 at the back and, as the games passed by, it became increasingly difficult to see anything convincing to say that Bruce could either.

The previous season many of us (some, anyway) were pissed at his irrational tactics, but most admitted he was bloody unlucky with injuries.

But this season he had the lot, he sacked and bought his players, he suffered lightly with injuries, he had money to spend, but assumed there would be more for Gray. But again we saw strange tactics, negative football when we could see no reason for it. We saw him unable to motivate his players, unable to see an answer to the inconsistancy of his selections, he admitted this and it was still evident on the play-offs.

I like Bruce, although I wish he would stop talking us down and himself up, it's now a tad boring. If he can overcome those negatives (leave a bloody striker on!) and understand the inconsistencies then yes, let him stay and enjoy his promotion; but I just think that old dog has learnt his last trick.

I'll always be of the opinion that we wouldn't be anywhere near without Bruce! He's the only reason these players are here ! And those players performed for him on Saturday under his instructions :emoticon-0148-yes:

I wouldn't mind us trying to get Roberto Martinez if Bruce goes.

If he's going to take the next 10 days to consider his future, has he already met with the Ehab and spoke about the future plans?

I think that's reasonable, even though I'm not 100% in agreement; league position (oops) doesn't lie, does it? Premier League is another matter though, isn't it?
