And even more galling to see Hull City in the Premier League for the third time in eight years. Yorkshire's number One.
No, not for the first promotion; is that important to you? I didn't go to the first one because it was extremely difficult to get a ticket, living away and not being able to queue. But I enjoyed it nonetheless, watching it on the telly, just as I did on Satdee. I went to the FA Cup semi-final- as there was no shortage of tickets. I decided not to take tickets for the final as I thought season ticket holders who did the semi had preference over me. I was lucky, I was gifted two corporate tickets for me and the wife, so made that one by having a good mate. Anyway, you can add your reply as the 4th reason for thinking of you as a ****er - proper supporter or not.
I didn't go to the final for a variety of reasons. Many of them were the same reasons that I went to very few games last season. I didn't see it as being any different. One reason amongst the many was a feeling that I hadn't been part of the other games, so attending would have been almost bandwagon jumping, and bracketed me similar to those that found reasons that kept them away through the dark times, had miraculously vanished when there was a whiff of success. The attitude of some of those people formed one of the reasons I and some others have lost some desire to watch City. Anyway, I didn't go partly because of my principles, and if you don't like them, well I have others.
It's so funny how we don't talk anymore, as Sir Cliff would say. All these pesky WUMs, trolls and assorted ****s from other clubs who used to delight in saying hello ten years ago....I can't see them anywhere, where have you hidden them? Have BT scrapped the internet in Scunthorpe, Mansfield, Leeds etc? Why don't they pay us a visit anymore? Don't be strangers, lads, we're still here !
