So what do you boys and girls eat for a BBQ?

I personally turn my nose up at bread and salad and basically eat anything that used to be an animal.

My current personal favourite is chicken thighs in Harissa marinade with a dusting on Nando's Peri Peri salt.

Am also partial to a nice steak with garlic salt rubbed into it.

Was at a BBQ on Saturday, sausage, chicken, not sure what sauces but they were spicy and very tasty, no salad thank you, washed down with cans of magners cider, pear cider and fosters. Lovely.

Dogs last thursday, cricket binge Friday, bbq saturday, pub sunday, dogs last night.... diet now required <laugh>

You're the exact opposite to me then.

So barbeques consist of veggie burgers, veggie sausages, halloumi and various salady stuff.

Having worked 30 odd years in hotels and catering I wouldn't eat anything off a BBQ, never eat anything from Chinese or Indian takeaways either.

    Ribs, easy and tasty,

Cook them in the oven for a bit, then drown them in bbq sauce and keep flipping it over the flames till it's dark and crispy :))))

    They are the dogs, mate.

Get the skin of a banana, fill it with chocolate buttons, wrap in tin foil and cook it on the BBQ. It's a dream <ok>

You can have many other fillings...

BBQ starter - lightly toast some pitta bread. Grill some Halloumi cheese and put a couple of wedges into the pitta bread along with houmus and green olives.
To be washed down with a large glass of red... tongue orgasm..

Nothing but real cuts on my BBQ. Had one on Friday and one on Saturday. Friday was seasoned rib eye with an olive oil and lime spray to smoke the coals(the key to good a BBQ) Saturday we had filleted chicken thighs marinated for 48 hours in Lime, olive oil, lemongrass, garlic, galangal, shallots, bird eye chillies and fresh coriander. Using the same spray mix mind. Amazing.
