I probably enjoyed this trip to wembley and victory more than any other. From the outset I felt relaxed and after 15 minutes it was clear there was only one team that was trying win the game. Great day in the crystal club beforehand and a good few celebratory drinks in the torch after. Saw plenty of old friends and it was good to be amongst proper city fans. Anyhow we where in club wembley, block 202, it was meant to be a city block but had more wednesday with some city. We were pretty vocal throughout, bit of singing and just making our presence felt to the wedensday around us, TBH not really a peep from the wednesday fans near us. We scored, went berserk mobbing the other city fans, roaring up the aisles, celebrating a wonder goal. The nearby Wednesday then completely died, a few trickled out bit by bit. The anticipation rose as we neared the final whistle. Cue ecstasy - then we got attacked by two wednesdayshites. We stood our ground got chined a few times, didn't retaliate but the stewards did f’all, just watched. We exchanged a few expletives with the ugly fat ****s, as they ran off down the exit. We duly continued the celebrations which led to a fantastic night. On leaving I also saw other sporadic attacks on city fans in the car parks. Never previously had an issue with Wednesday but I am now more than happy that we consigned these divs too many more years of obscurity.
Sorry to hear that ..never had any trouble or a sniff of trouble of the wednesday fans even pre game when i joined the queue to get in at the wednesday end with my city shirt on..
Only trouble I saw was about 5 Wednesday lads at the bottom of the stairs at Wembley Park who were quickly grabbed & pushed up the stairs!
I wasnt Julian i was just winding them up though when i was asked what the f are you doing i said seen as your fans have bought tickets in our end i thought i would by one in your end
Did the same. I walked in via the west walkway in my City shirt surrounded by about 10,000 pigs. No bother just a daft song about Barry Bannan. Shook a few hands and exchanged a bit of banter.
Walking out of the tube station at Covent Garden we were greeted by a sea of blue and white chanting and booing at us. It was quite intimidating. A couple got right in our faces looking for a reaction but we just smiled and walked on to another pub. We went back after the game and found them to be much nicer but had they won they would have been unbearable.
