Not relevant really POD. The new owners will pay the £100 mill perhaps and get that investment back as and when it arrives. From what has been said they plan to makes us one of the 10 richest clubs in the country. I just hope its not Trump, I'm not combing my hair over for anyone.
This is the main reason I think he'll sell, I think he's got too much on his plate and he seems to be good at selling generators and terrible at running a football club. If he does decide to stay, Bruce will go.
The reason I think Ehab will sell is that because the money will come in stages - the club is going to need investment in the short term. Deals need to start over the next month - actual premier league money will not start arriving in large quantities until the games start being televised. So Ehab is going to have to put more into the club before he will get a return. What will the vast sums do to inflation of player prices? Even very mediocre players will be commanding hefty fee. The potential value of the club will be going down from here. The only guaranteed way to leave the club with their investment back and a profit, which they fully deserve, would be to sell now.
I asked some one in the know wether Sir Adam is behind a buy out plan and got a no comment reply, which I took to mean yes he is, lets bastard hope so
I'm not so sure If you're turning over what they are, and you're actually doing enough to have lots on your plate you're doing it wrong I foresee Ehab swanning around 'running' both of them I hope you're right though
It's the last chance for Jr to save face..."We (I) have found a good owner who has the club & supporters at heart". Plus avoid what would be continual bad press/supporter feeling against his family AND most likely come out ahead financially from a business venture that was misguided/underestimated on their part. Back to focusing on generators. So...new owners, SB in charge - with get out clauses on both sides (owner expectations time-line & compensation for Bruce if he is dumped early having not met those expectations - meaning PL safety has to look secure by end of the year).
Very true. 2 or 3 new defenders signed in '66-67 may well have seen Div 1/Prem L football for City for the last 50 years !
He can't, the money comes in staged payment and our wage bill just went up 30-40%. If we sold players and replaced them with cheap ones he could keep the money to pay down the debt, but it would massively reduce the value of the club. The best deal for him is definitely selling it when it's at its peak value and that's now.
