Transfer Rumours The Summer Transfer Rumour Thread 2016

Why are there Liverpool and Everton fans bickering on the Transfer thread? I thought something was actually happening.

 

I'm just laughing here - it says something when the opposing teams to come on here to talk about concurrent transfer business are Liverpool and Everton.

Not so long ago it was Huddersfield and Leyton Orient.

It's a good change that!

 

Absolutely what I've heard too, for what it's worth. Vic is actually (a bit thick) and a lot more prone to arrogance. By all accounts Mané is a very polite, level headed young man who really appreciates the opportunity to play for Saints.

Of course that could easily come back and bite me on the arse, but that's what I heard from people in the club.

 

Think they both need a fruit shoot each and to calm down , jheez!

 

You'll be hard-pressed to find a Saints player with more time for our younger fans. Seriously, Sadio has stayed until it's got dark signing stuff for kids before and on many occasions lowered his window to give them a little wave and shout goodbye and have one last chat as he drives off. He's always posing for photos, talking to the kids and picking them up or giving them a hug with the little ones.

What I've heard mirrors what you've said, he's a nice enough chap and is pretty grounded but make no bones about it, he's driven and wants to get to the very top. That's not to say he isn't happy here and he doesn't appreciate what he's got.

 

I have no problem with that in all honesty. It's actually an admirable trait. It just needs to be tempered and done sensibly.

 

What I have been told is the only time he sulks is if things aren't going well on the pitch. The guy is crazy self-critical. He would even blame himself for not scoring 4 even though he has a hattrick. He will also blame himself when the team is playing ****.

 

Sounds like bad time management to me...

Article suggesting that Southampton are no longer a club to be raided at will. I like the dimension the author lives in....because Saints were 6th and 5th during the last 2 seasons rather than 7th and 6th.

 

I bloody love Sadio Mane. He is absolutely quality. Whatever happens, he has done the club proud (so far), and he is one that I will always look upon with fondness (even if he does end up leaving).
One of my favourite games of recent seasons was Arsenal away in the cup (when Clyne scored a blinder) - I think Mane was just settling in, and you could see he was going to be a special player. He just waltzed past Arsenal at times that night.

 

Debut game, I think. Loved the way he saw Rosický coming and jumped, with both feet just inside the penalty area line, before getting clattered. Cue Rosický grimacing up to the sky, knowing full well he'd been done like a kipper.

 

It makes interesting reading when two non Saints fans need to use this site to start arguing. That has got to be a first...... All we need now is trickster arguing with an Arsenal fan to make a set..........

 

That might be difficult.

 

Maybe it's because this is the Wembley of football forums and everyone aspires to get here.

Article in the Star suggesting that Mane has changed his mind about seeking a move away from Southampton in the summer. Hope it's true.
