I just had an email but can I really face wasting hours trying to get through to TM to then be told they can't/won't move me I know I'll end up losing my rag & smashing the phone against the wall, so I'm not going to bother
Hull City fans told to move Wembley seats by Ticketmaster for Championship play-off HUNDREDS of Hull City fans have been told they will have to move from their seats in Wembley for this weekend's Championship play-off final. City fans have received letters from Ticketmaster, informing them they have been moved out of their already-paid for seats to a different section of the stadium for Saturday's match. It is thought the reason for the move is down to how Ticketmaster sold tickets for the final in Tier 5 of the stadium and concerns over segregation of fans as they arrive and leave the stadium. Hull City are believed to have contacted Ticketmaster, one of the companies recommended to them by the Football League to sell play-off final tickets, after the error emerged. The Ticketmaster letter, which has been sent to the supporters along with their new tickets, has said the decision was made to "meet requirements of the Football League and Wembley Stadium for a match of this nature". But City fans have said they have been left confused by the changes, with many taking to social media to express their annoyance. Andy Essex has been moved from block 507, in the corner of the Hull City end of Wembley. "I was in block 507 which is in the corner and have been moved to the opposite corner," he said. "I thought those that were being moved were just close to the half way line but it seems quite a few blocks are being asked to move to seats they didn't chose with worse seats and sections. "Seeing what other people have put it seems we've gotten off lightly as others have been moved from halfway blocks to corners, 50 blocks to 11 blocks and some people are even saying they bought tickets in groups and they have been separated when moved. "I'm sure there are others that will already be down in London so won't even get to see these letters and people seem to have been moved randomly." Hull City have been continuing to sell their Wembley allocation, while Sheffield Wednesday have bought an extra 620 tickets after selling out their initial 39,000. Wednesday held a ballot to buy up those seats. Ticketmaster have said Hull ticket-holders have not been moved to seats with a lesser price value, with some of the changes forced upon them to accommodate things like additional TV cameras. Richard Hoare said the decision had "soured the experience" for him. "We are season ticket holders and I am going with a group of five of us including my son," he said. "We especially went for a block in the upper tier and went for a front row seat because we were there for the FA Cup final as well. "We had a letter this morning saying that we had been moved to a lower tier right in the corner on the other side of the ground. It's just not an area that I would have chosen. "There was no warning given when we bought them that there was a risk this could happen, and no option given to us as to where we would want to sit. "It's really unsatisfactory what has happened. I'm not impressed." David Whitehead has been moved from his original seat in block 526, positioned close to to the halfway line. "It was a little surprising, to be honest," he said. "I'm not as fussed as others because I have only moved two blocks so we haven't been greatly affected, but there seems to have been a few people who have been moved all over the stadium. "It has clearly affected a lot of supporters at the moment." A Ticketmaster spokesperson said: "At this weekend's Championship Final between Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday, taking place at Wembley Stadium, we have had to reseat some Hull City fans. "We're happy to confirm that all seats are of equal or better value, and that new tickets have been sent to affected fans." http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...tory-29324414-detail/story.html#ixzz49mU5eXhF
"We're happy to confirm that all seats are of equal or better value" Complete bollocks!!!!!! I've gone from Block 501 Row 29 to Block 524 Row 41, so I'm 12 rows further back & further round from the halfway line
What a set of ****s. I admit I chortled yesterday when the other team got told no inflatables. Or big flags. Today been told that trains will be dry coming back. Stupid overcautious killjoy ****s. No fun. Now Ticketmasturbators are moving people round when they've already let people choose to sit in their preferred location. This rapidly going down in history as the TINPOT FINAL. **** me, we've had this eviction **** at the KCOM, now these ****ers are at it. (Is there a common factor in both? ) Who is going to own up to this one?
Dont think I have come across such a mess in my life...You just know TM are bullshitting whatever the real reasons are. Do they really think people are so stupid.
Three rows from the top in block 524 would be £40 tickets, you have to be at least half way down the block to be in the £52 seats. The £36 tickets are the back half of the blocks on the top tier behind the goals.
What section mate??? Im in 522 row 30 and thats £36 I wished id bought 4 concessions now. ****ing hate ticketmaster and **** our owners while im at it, **** premier league fans in this city also. ****ing bastards the whole ****pile of them. ****s
On the subject of inflatables, the wendies have been keeping a spreadsheet for who is taking what and to which stand, however... Own up, who's been playing with dead bod.
But what if people prefer to be high on the halfway line rather than low in the corner, and bought their seats accordingly? Some blandly worded **** telling you that it doesn't matter and there's nothing to be concerned about. Get ****ed silly ****s. The customer decides what he wants and he pays for it. He decides where he wants to sit. There will now be several hundred/thousand invalid but genuine tickets ('Please ensure you securely destroy these tickets'). The touts will have a field day with these once they find their way into their hands. What a colossal and embarrassing **** up.
Just call them up and demand better ones, you're the only person I've seen so far who hasn't been given the same (or higher) band replacements and they can always arrange for you to collect new tickets at Wembley.
No problems or issues at all. Pressed the button @ 9am on the first day of sale and by 9.30am had it all done and dusted. Tickets arrived safe and sound. Nothing but praise for the whole process. Due to the demand someone will always suffer poor service and / or mistakes. My only grumble is that the name ""Derby"" appears on the ticket. Guess the Wendies fans have the same issue with Brighton.
I'm 522 row 20, and I'm £36 too. Although my mate has been shifted from 502 to 524 row 10... and his seat is worth £72 somehow.
My tickets are not as good - they were on the halfway line to two blocks away I don't want to be in the tiers below or higher so I'm not going to get better tickets I'll nag them for compensation - I doubt I'll get more than about £25 but I don't see why I should suffer without recompense for their cockup
Same here, not impressed particularly since we have paid an admin fee plus £2.40 'postage' and now we are having to go and effin well get them ourselves
Wednesday fans don't seem to have suffered the problems that Hull City fans have suffered. First our fans were being refused tickets because City had sent incorrect data and then thousands have been moved through no fault of their own. This is before we know the scale of the problem regarding Sheffield fans in our end. You may praise the whole process but I don't.
