I think the main reason not so many are going as in 2008 is due to the hassle of getting tickets. I'm sure a lot of people would have bought tickets if they could just turn up and buy tickets without messing about needing somebody with a customer number to get them for them.
I was told yesterday that too many had been sold at the ends and it was not practical to move them, maybe there's been a rethink.
I'm supporting, I have even re arranged my holiday to be at Wembley on Saturday. I was also at Wembley on the three previous occasions. I'm just saying that that's how it is. I've done my part in getting extra people to the game.
Pete, the letter says 'Unfortunately, Ticketmaster have needed to make some seating changes for Saturday's match to ensure that we meet requirements of the Football League and Wembley Stadium for a match of this nature, and to ensure the best possible atmosphere for all Hull fans traveling to the match' - it goes on to say 'We have discovered that this change needs to be made in the last few days, and so we apologise for the late notice and any inconvenience caused'. It was addressed 'Dear Hull City Tigers fan' (!)..
Many who went first time & second & third were not City supporters. They were day trippers following the local team they should support but don't. Leeds, Liverpool, United they were all at our previous games. Did nobody else but me & Bob hear the cheer that went up in Moore Spice when the Scousers scored? We'll not attract the day trippers every time. Our recent achievements gave us the chance to increase our supporter base for generations to come unfortunately the owners blew it.
The intro to that letter alone pretty much sums up why we haven't sold out. A deluded ****ing half wit owner pissing too many people off. I'm away on a camping trip this weekend down south, in the past i'd have happily taken a bollocking to miss out on sat afternoon and make my way to Wembley and back somehow, but with the current feeling at the club I just simply cannot be arsed with it.
With it been our third time in two years many of the extra fans has I would call them have done it and think its may be an expensive weekend ect, some who like rugby and football have just been to Newcastle for magic weekend, their are some who because of the Allams situation not going which is a shame but that's their choice. Me I'm there for my club for the 11 players wearing black and amber, not interested in anything else but willing them on back into the premier league. Who ever is going lets get away from the negatives, days like this may never happen again, think of poor Megan sat in that hospital bed, it will make her day to hear us all and I'm sure if we do our bit we can push the lads to victory, Most of all be positive and ENJOY.
It seems 501-502 and 526-527 are being moved, though oddly I've just seen someone from 504 being moved onto a completely different area and someone else moved out of a cheap seat into a Club Wembley one. Very odd.
