Of course I´ll support the manager, I´ll support any manager and every manager who's here, for as long as they´re here, unless they significantly step out of line. And as for not thinking the squad was strong enough, you solely blame Neil for that, I don´t, and I never will. He´s working under restrictions and restraints and will continue to do so, even if we should get back to the PL, such is life at NCFC.

I´d also like to see us playing regularly, and being competitive, in the Premier League, but just being up there occasionally to make up the numbers, isn´t either satisfactory or interesting, and just because you can´t accept them playing in a lower league, some of us can, and will continue to follow and support them wherever they happen to play., even if we´re not happy with the level they´re playing at.

I´m certainly not going to break the habit of a lifetime, and ditch them just because we´re no longer part of the ´elite´ - after all we haven´t been part of the ´elite´ for 95% of our illustrious existence, so we ought to be used to mediocrity by now. No doubt your unacceptance of mediocrity won´t prevent you from turning up each week and supporting them, either - which is as it should be, for any supporter. OTBC

That is a crazy scenario, wait until were promoted!! Jesus we couldn't strengthen the the squad last year when we were in the Premier, whatever makes you think we'll do better next time????

OK guys, I reluctantly accept that we're not about to see the cull that AN alluded to just after the season finished, though I REALLY hope that we have seen the last of Bassong around the first team squad, but even that seems to be wishful thinking following on from the news that Whittaker has been offered a one year extension!!!!
The main area I'd like to see addressed is AN's belief in chopping and changing the team based purely on who the opposition is - here's hoping that we'll see a fairly settled starting 11, but I'm 'not holding my breath' on that one.
As was mentioned earlier, I’d also LOVE to see a quality striker come in to challenge Jerome, as whilst he was fairly prolific in the Championship, he was ably abetted by I think it was 3 of our midfielders chipping in with over 30 goals between them!!!
We need to recruit at least one CB - 2 if Klose leaves and other than that, I’ll grudgingly accept starting the season with what we have. I feel we could get reasonable replacements for approximately £15M, so not too extortionate!!!! IF we could offload a few, we may even be able to spend a bit more!!!
Anything less than what I've suggested and I'd be surprised if we're even challenging for promotion come next May!!!

Here here RBF. I'm not gonna stop supporting my team because we are in The Championship.

I sat through the whole game Norwich...1 Colchester...7. We are in a much better shape as a club than we where that day.

I agree, but unless I see quite an improvement in our style of play and we start scoring more goals, then I won't be renewing my ST. I guess I could always listen to it on Radio Norfolk and then phone Canary Call with my voos on how we played and what should be done to improve the team!!!! <laugh>
    There again .......

Don't put words in my mouth, I have NEVER said I'll stop supporting them, I've supported my club since 1959, I'm a season ticket holder and so are 4 of my family. I for one will not slavishly put my faith in a manager who has failed and failed miserably. As a paid up member of the club I reserve my right to critecise them when I feel they need it, and just incase you were thinking it, I don't boo either! You blame the board for the football teams failings, I don't see Delia and Co out there on the pitch with their arms by their sides not putting in a shift. The manager is totally responsible for the teams failure to compete. Leicester won the league this season with a very low cost team, the difference.....they had a manager who knew what to do to motivate his squad. When we had Jonh Bond, Ken Brown, Dave Stringer etc we didn't have a squad of millionaires we had good/ great managers!

It seems as if the posters that go to games and pay out hundreds of pounds for a season ticket are far from impressed by how the revenue was spent and the posters that watch the odd steam or click on the BBC website over the weekend to see how Norwich did are not so bothered? .

I wonder how many teams in the championship would swap their squad for ours? My guess is all bar Newcastle.

Oh dear ILD, I didn´t put words into your mouth, I never said, or suggested, that you would stop supporting them, in fact if you read my last sentence, you´ll find that I said the exact opposite. Nor incidentally do I blame the board for any failings regarding recruitment, now you´re putting words into my mouth.

I´m off now, enjoy your evening.

Just been confirmed that Benitez is stayiing on as manager - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36377851. I would expect them to be pretty near the top of the Championship come next May!!!

I'm NOT and never will be used to mediocrity, as supporters we should all hope our team progresses not go backwards or stagnate!
I have to accept us playing in a lower league as it's happened/fact and history, I'm just fluffing angry with the way we didn't compete. We want the best for our club and team, but we've just lost the biggest payday in the clubs history and the funds to improve the squad and the club as a whole!
Apology's for mis-understanding your last sentence, I was posting from my phone and its difficult to see sometimes!

BH, NO don't go over to the looney corner, leave that to those who've never seen the team play.

Actually I think most would be pretty happy to get Martin or Naismith, always assuming that the price was right. The other two again for limited money I think any team middling or lower would be interested in giving them a go. Mulumbu is something of an unknown now given his lack of football with us, but he was decent before he joined so I'm sure someone would give him a look if he forwent some of his wages. Bassong has been a very important part in teams that have been promoted to and stayed in the PL, that he is generally out of his depth in the PL is giving you a selective memory. He was good for us after AN brought him in two seasons ago, and we are playing at that level once again. Do I want to see him in a City shirt again? Not really, but I think it is unfair to say that no one would want him. He is a good championship player, even if that is because his customary mistake or two in each game is less likely to be punished and others at that level are also making them.

    Bah!

Saw Um Bongo in Morrisons the other day, I believe he's congolese and I believe he is a fleet footed winger who likes to dance dainty tangos around the oposition.

May not be any good though, our congolese contingient haven't exactly been pulling up any trees!

    Bah!

Can't believe you think that Naismith would be sought after, maybe other clubs don't have scouts and haven't see him, was going to say play, but that wouldn't be an accurate description! Abject failure is more like it!
