Good Morning Everyone, It was revealed yesterday that Karl Robinson turned down an offer to manage Leeds Utd. Robbo and Cellino met up at a swanky London hotel last Friday to discuss the matter in depth, however at the end of the chat the MK Dons boss told Cellino he was not interested in taking the Elland Road hot seat. Must admit my first reaction was that this was a kick in the teeth, however on reflection if Cellino had told Robinson what was expected of him, and he didn't think he was the man for the job and decided to play it safe and stay in Milton Keynes, fair play! He must have been interested in the first place to have met up with Cellino in the first place. Cellino is looking for someone to take Leeds out of the Championship. Must admit Robinson made it look easy last season! The attention now switches to Bristol Rovers Manager Darrell Clarke. Clarke has won back-to-back promotions from the Conference to League One with Rovers after joining them from Salisbury City. During his playing days to turned out for the likes of Hartlepool and Mansfield Town. I feel a bit sorry for Evans. Thought he earned a chance to show everyone what he could do by guiding us to mid table. Why can't Cellino just put him out of his misery? Cellino is now in Italy. I wonder what he is doing there? Here are the latest odds? Darrell Clarke 1/3 Karl Robinson 4/1 Steve Evans 8/1 John Sheridan 8/1 Neil Warnock 18/1 Quique Sánchez Flores 18/1 Ivan Juric 18/1 Walter Zenga 18/1 Dougie Freedman 20/1 Giuseppe Iachini 22/1 Fabio Cannavaro 22/1 David Moyes 28/1 Simon Grayson 28/1 Tim Sherwood 33/1 Roberto Martinez 33/1 Massimo Rastelli 33/1 Paul Clement 33/1 Michael Appleton 33/1 Nigel Pearson 33/1 Gary Neville 33/1 Dennis Wise 40/1 Mick McCarthy 40/1
Doesnt fill you with confidence does it. We're going backwards again as Karl isnt that good and not good enough for us as Evans is better. Why talk to Clarke he's worse ffs. We should be talking to Moyes, Macarthy, Pearson or indeed someone from the top level who wants to be a hero by getting us back up. However without funds even Robinson knows its a waste of time. Robinson was supposed to have been told to get promotion next season but not given enough funds and backing, so told Cellino to do one. Evans going back to work in the morning unless Cellino sacks him today, but thats his contract as hes supposed to be back at work tomoz. Why doesnt he just tell him to fook off and take up one of these big jobs hes been talking about. If he stays he will be abused by Cellino as he knows he can do anything with fatty
Morning Elland and all. None of the names mentioned so far for coaches job are very exciting to be honest. I see Haigh has begun to squeal on gfh. States they had no money when buying Leeds but borrowed it from an Iranian clients account. No surprise info there. Bates did a great job finding gfh in the first place. Remember this "I shall not rest until Leeds United are kicked out of the football league. There fans are the scum of the Earth, absolute animals and a disgrace. I will do everything in my power to make this happen"....... Ken bates 1984
Have to agree with Doc nothing more to add apart from it doesn't look good. Unless Robinson says why he turned us down we can only have an opinion as to the reason. Obvious reason would be he would have no say over who we bring in and simply couldn't work under Cellino. Morning btw last day in Sunny Cyprus back to reality tomorrow
Morning Eire, looking forward to hearing what Haigh has to say. Bet GFH have covered their tracks. Wonder why he has left it for a good month?
Eire what haigh syas is like a mirror of what he did, as he had no money but all of a sudden wanted to buy the club and even loaned the club money? he got into bed with Flowers who had a few spare bob and they were off trying to con the fans. Haigh will do whatever to earn a few quid and cannot be trusted. Steve Parkin is a big part of what may happen at the club. Steve is putting in sponsorship from Clipper, but this isn't his own funds. Does Steve think that whats happening is positive or has he just got a cheap sponsorship deal for Clipper. When Steve put some of his own money in I'll be happy and just why did Pearson leave after only a few weeks.
Fantastic, nice beaches, clear blue sea and hot. Drive on the same side of the road as the UK you need to be looking at Protaras
Morning Ell - we flew back from Cyprus Sunday night. First visit but will go back many times, just loved it
Given how Cellino is treating Evans ATM i find it extremely difficult to see any manager (British) worth their salt wanting to work for such an ass to be honest
Morning All Let's face it after the way Evans and Refearn was treated by Celino who is seriously going to take the Leeds Job
Morning all. SSDD. No progress as yet. Not good, & I now expect the likes of Cook to see the writing on the wall & move on. Not good news all round
