Anyway, enough about how **** RL/RH is, on to more important matters, there's a new fish and chip shop opening in North Cave tonight.
I'd say it does, yes. As much as some would prefer it swept under the carpet, or denied, the negativity that comes from them and HDM is what others hear, so it has an impact on attendances and other sales, and to some extent the atmosphere. Don't forget, for some locals, the local media is where they get their opinions from.
If you are loyal to the cause of the team you support, I still don't see how it matters. Just my opinion though, some will get really pissed off and up tight about it though.
If you're loyal, it would matter more if people are spreading negative half arsed ****e, particularly to people with only a passing interest in City at best, so they won't bother checking any further. The rl coverage is a fair contrast, where minor things are hyped up, but City related stuff is played down.
Yes but the minor things might not be minor to the RL fraternity. Being abroad this board is quite important for news and views. As is the local Rag HDM or RH .. I take what I want from each snippet and let the rest fight it out. Maybe it does have implications but I just don't let it get to me. I love Rugby as I love my Footy. Nowt to do with the subject really but I will add in my younger days I hated HKR but now if they get through to a final I don't mind if they win. Same as if an English team reach the Champions League final I would want them to win. Just how I have turned out really. Just look at the RIP thread to be reminded and some of our friends on here as to what is really important in life. Each to there own, I do love this thread though lol.
Are they anything to do with the van that parks outside is it the community centre on a Thursday tea time..?
You can't sell 40,000 tickets to a ground that holds 25,000 people on the basis that they won't all be in the ground at the same time, even you must know that's idiotic? Anyway Hull doesn't have the infrastructure to hold it, we barely have any hotels and certainly none near the ground, it would be a disaster.
So are your saying that this 'over 50,000' that were supposedly watching the Hull derby were all there just for that game ? Which is exactly the impression RH wanted to give in the trailer for the magic weekend coverage which was broadcast several times a day last week leading up to it. You've fell for their spin.
No, I said nothing of the sort, there weren't even half that many fans from Hull there. I've fallen for nothing, I couldn't give a **** about rugby league or your unhealthy obsession with it.
I never said you could. I said that there are ways of doing it. Let's face it, if the figures churned out so far are accurate, you could argue they sold 60,000 for a sub 40,000 capacity. I wasn't so much suggesting Hull, that was someone else. I suggested that they hold it in a rugby ground, rather than spending money outside the rugby world, when they'd already cost themselves money as, despite some claiming it as a success, the gates were down on what they would have been, had the games been at the individual grounds. Edit, just seen someone else quoting the money Newcastle made. All money missed out on by the RL fraternity. Which is all by the by for distorted local media coverage.
