I was thinking back to other Wembley matches. Wasn't 2008 sold by Wembley and the two FA Cup matches in 2014 sold by Hull City. For the FA Cup Final I bought a couple of tickets and a friend in Australia bought one and then I phoned up and they swapped them round so we could sit together. I know it's hassle for the club but I appreciated the effort.
Wednesday think they will have sold out by Tuesday night I suppose its like us in 2008 first time for them at the new Wembley, this time I know we wont sell out and looking at the Wembley website we seemed to have sold around 25000 up to now, Don't know if we will sell another 5000 in the coming days to give us around 30000 or has most who want to go got their tickets? Lets hope sales continue the more the better
And therein lies the problem with the ****wits at the club. We stop selling Monday night it seems… aresholes...
I think that ticket master has probably cost us more than a few thousand sales. The site was not stable enough to meet demand at peak times. It is too complicated when you are using more than one season pass. I know some posters will say that the system has been used before, but I haven't used it and I don't know anyone else who has. That said at least we do not have a points system in place....yet! I really was not bothered about going myself and I know others who felt and feel the same, but I love "Wembley Day's", there is something special about them. This will be my 6th trip to Wembley. AFC Totton, North Ferriby, and City.
To be honest, the Ticketmaster website seemed stable enough to cope with numbers and the queuing system worked fine. However, the software hadn't been thoroughly tested and I think the biggest issue was the whole 'activate' vs 'log in' issue. You would expect that once you'd activated your account you could then log in. I get the impression much anguish is caused by people not realising that isn't working and you have to log in via the 'activate' button every single time. I sussed it fairly quickly, but then I've had a career in a technical environment where companies roll out half-baked software you have to work around. Most people expect websites to work properly! If that aspect of the software isn't working properly, then what else? Are there bugs in the database preventing recognition of some fans 'privileges'? It's a very poor job by ticketmaster, and to be fair, not the fault of the club who outsourced to a well known, "reputable" company.
The normal log in worked fine until Friday, but every time I tried to have a look since I have to log on via activate.
Ticketmaster don't have a clue or they have lied to Hull City. The customer services is supposed to be open until 8 pm during the week and open at the weekend but it isn't. That gives the impression they don't care about anything. I've just phone the Ticketmaster call centre for buying tickets and they explained what happened. They said that when people were phoning after 2 pm a lot of people were not on the list that Hull City sent to them. Ticketmaster recognised there was a problem and Hull City sent them a revised version of the list. I wasn't on the list on Friday afternoon but I am on the list now. If you phone up on 0844 248 5009 there's a better chance of buying tickets now than there was on Friday. I got through immediately just now.
Well after tomorrow night lets hope when the tickets are back at the club we get a push in sales although I hope the club let the people of Hull know they have them to sell from Tuesday because I am sure many wont know. If I didn't come on here I wouldn't know and even many on here think Monday is the last chance to buy when it isn't.
They haven't made that clear have they OLM… They gave two specific purchase criteria. Season Ticket Holders and Then General …
