What makes Tadic's assists more valuable is that they all come from open play.
If he could take a decent free kick or corner, he'd likely have 20+ assists and be right up there with Fabregas and Ozil, who I believe take the odd free kick or two.
If there is any friction there, then I hope we can sort it, because inconsistent or not, we can't just wave goodbye to his type of skill.
I am confused though (not difficult I know), by the story saying that players are upset by RK's way of treating them.
If this is just players moaning because the gaffer criticises them for mistakes or not carrying out an instruction, then they need to grow a pair.
With English not being Ronn's first language, there is every possibility that he might sound more harsh, or use the wrong vocabulary, making his words appear worse than intended.
So long as he doesn't keep saying "You can't" in his inimitable way.

Let's remember that this is all off just what one poster has said. A lot can change over the summer and just because a player is looking at his options, it doesn't mean they will definitely leave. What's more important at present is Koemans contract.
We should have learned by now not to panic, at least wait til we have sold the players before we moan ey!

 

Just put yourself in Koeman's shoes. You'd wouldn't be asking the club to keep players at any cost. What you'd want is a satisfactory transfer budget and some input in the process.

Probably the more money he is given for wages and transfers, the less he cares about players leaving because he can easily replace them with someone as good or even better. He would almost certainly replace Juanmi and Pelle. Not sure why people are suddenly freaking out over two guys most of us assumed were leaving anyway. They're not going to bigger clubs. They will be going to SMALLER clubs because we don't need them.

 

Why shouldn't you think this close season won't be different.? This is all made up stuff. They call it rumour.

The thing that always makes me smile about Mane's hat trick goal (shown in video in article) is that he has to check his fingers before he can raise his arms to indicate the score. Mane obviously belongs to the Beddy school of arithmetic.

 

What I always find interesting about premier league 'flops' is the lack of game time and fickleness of fans in giving players time to adjust. One of our strengths as a club is being patient (in most cases) which sees players settle and then begin to perform. Some flops at bigger clubs end up being successes at equally sized clubs 2 or 3 seasons later. Is it fair to call any player a flop if they are 1) played in a system that just does not suit them? 2) played out of position? 3) Not given a chance?

Is Memphis Depay really that bad? We know Morgan has real quality. There are some rich pickings from 'big club cast offs' - I remember what I said when Jimmy Case first signed for us (not complimentary) and how wrong I was. If we lose players to bigger clubs, let's rip them off as we have done in the past and not turn our noses up too quickly at what we may get to offset the deal (Phil Jones being the exception!).

 

The Premier League will be awash with money and surplus players that the 'big' clubs will be looking to offload with new managers in situ.

I understand that it is hard to keep players that want to leave, however, I do wonder how we have such a high turnover of players when clubs like Everton or West Ham do not hemorrhage them and have equivocal talents but are not in top competitions.

 

I agree with FLT; am enjoying the moment; no point getting taking all this speculation as fact. Let's see what unfolds over the fullness of time. Plenty of time yet to have a meltdown!! I am saving myself to have that in August!!!!!

 

I predict the transfer window will contain a couple of these and even perhaps one of these . But will also include a few of these and hopefully a couple of these . How do I know....because it happens every season....and we mysteriously arrive at the start of next season with a great and interesting team.

 

I'll be surprised if Mane is still a Saints player come September. I'll be surprised if Tadic is not still a Saints player come September.

For now at least, ignore, move on, and enjoy direct European qualification.

 

Some rumours on Newsnow (I know, I know) that Pelle is wanted by some Chinese clubs. That could drive his price up to pretty high levels, wonder if he would be up for a move to China?

West Ham and Everton are both bigger clubs, so that may satisfy some players. West Ham based in London, so that may satisfy some players. But in my view the main thing is that they both pay much higher salaries. Plus you could argue that apart from Stones, Lukaku and Barkley there aren't too many other players the top teams want.

 

Can't see this at all. If he thinks Southampton is in the sticks, I can only imagine what he would make of China. Pelle is a true European....my bet is he will return to Italy (with Spain as an outside choice).
