Sorry guys, maybe i'm a little slow on the uptake but can someone please please explain to me whats happening our club. I have seen prediction after prediction, rumour after rumour, and i still have no idea whats happening. Is this new F1 Guy a front for new buyers or is he going solo?. From what i have seen here and on other sites he is not a billionaire, and maybe i'm wrong but it seems he does noy have the finances to buy and grow our club. Is this not a major concern to all of you? Is it the russian behind the F1 dude? and what now is happening to the Mittal's? Sorry for this request but my head is spinning and i'm afraid to celebrate getting rid of the two muppets until i know that whats coming in is better.
QPRNUTS This is the problem. Had the prospective new owner been Vijay Mallya (Force India and Kingfisher Beer), I would've been a lot happier. Fernandes is a WHU fan and failed miserably in his attempt to get control at Upton Park. Mittal has proved himself to be anything but the "saviour" that many thought that he was and, if this isn't handled carefully and sensibly, while people may be happy to see Tango go, they may regret the loss of Cash!
same as me mate,i'll believe what i see on the official site and nothing or nobody else, it's all rumours at the moment any way
I don't know why people are getting upset that he is WHU fan as long as he is a foolball fan that's all that matters and he does the right thing by the club and supporters. Just have to wait and see.
It's not the fan bit that worries me, it was the cheapskate approach to trying to buy the club. We could be about to lose Bernie's wealth for someone no better off than Flav!
surely it can't be this fernandes bloke by himself can it? i can't see him putting half his personal wealth into a football club, it doesn't add up.
The difference between Fernandes and the others is that he actually wants to run a football club. As many have pointed out however he does not appear to have the funds to buy outright at Eccleston's prices. This will be another major slap in the face for the Mittals if it goes ahead.
Whether Fernandes is a football fan or not we can only hope that he's better a running a football club than his F1 team. Otherwise it's back of the grid time for us...
