Don't forget Auteuil ....................... lovely race at 3.55, fully expecting Toppy on soon tipping up Al Ferof and maybe Beefy giving us the nod on Un de Sceaux and Sir Barney on Simonsig
Cracking race that at Auteuil my colours will be nailed on to SIMONSIG some very interesting runners dropping back to hurdles Al Ferof who goes best when fresh but time is getting on with him but the trip and ground should suit him, Same thing could be said for Thousand Stars won round here twice will like the ground but could be with going further. Ptit Zig another one has been going over fences and then reverted back to hurdles at the New Years meeting at Cheltenham then when wining at sand own but both races don't hold that great form except of course second to Thistlecrack but he shouldn't be good enough to win this. Un De Sceaux hasn't really had that much of a hard season really and will love the soft ground and looked a very classy hurdler including when winning twice here two years ago and will find things easier then when facing Sprinter twice this year now for SIMONSIG ran a great race at Punchestown over fences that was only his second start in two years - he's back over 2 1/2 miles the same distance he won the Neptune over so should be no problem only thing is the ground that is putting me off abit and swings it slightly in UDS court but has won on it before, I reckon Barry will try to ride him the same tactics as Sprinter has the last twice - he has the pace to go with UDS (I like a couple of others Toppy to name one - thought he should have run in a champion hurdle) and will try to pressure him in the business end and hope his jumping cracks slightly. But can't wait for the race- nice to have a competitive jumps race in this mid of this flat stuff
My goodness, looks like total dominance by Irish and UK hosses in the big one at Auteuil? So, being a truly disloyal patriot, I'll have half-a-crown e/w on my old pal J.P.Gallorini's Le Grand Luce.....
A few for me tomorrow Sir Billy Wright 7.20 Garcia 3.05 Bahamian Heights 2.55 French Opera 6.35 Un Beau Roman 7.35 Barnet Fair 3.50 All fair prices...

Selections for tomorrow Goodwood 2.50 Mount Logan 2-1 4.35 Monotype 9-4 Haydock 3.05 Chief Whip 9-2 next best York 3.15 Appeared 2-1 Nap 3.50 Shore Step 7-1 Newmarket 4.05 Ajman Bridge 10-3 Good luck all
We know that Aidan O’Blarney blamed himself for the lacklustre display at Newmarket by Champion Two Year Old Air Force Blue, but I cannot find any grounds for thinking that he is going to reverse the form with the winner Galileo Gold. I am hoping that punters blindly following Ballydoyle will result in a decent price about Hugo Palmer’s chestnut to complete a Guineas double. Amongst the others, only Blue De Vega makes any appeal. Mr Singh won well when last seen but he may set the Goodwood 2:50 up for MOUNT LOGAN, saddled by last year’s winning trainer. In the Temple Stakes (Haydock 4:10), the obvious form pick would be Mecca’s Angel and having won first time out last term, she could well oblige for Michael Dods; but at the odds I will pass her over. I may persuade myself to go with either Profitable or Waady (first and third at Newmarket. Abbaye winner Goldream does not appear to have found his form yet.
Cracking race that is. Simonsig/Al Ferof reverse forecast for me, although wouldn't be surprised one bit if UDS smashed them
3:55 Curragh - Bubbly Bellini 16/1, once more over the cliff, this horse will pop up at a price. Hoping its today as its my birthday so it would be especially nice
Cheers mate, stuck with kids today. The wife is going a 5k run. Think I'll watch boxing on sky this morning then hopefully get to watch some of the racing this aft if I can keep kids quiet
It's a solid looking field isn't it? I won't be burdening Un de Sceaux with my cash today, though I think he's the likeliest winner. To me he's at his best in the first half of the season, then he seems to go off the boil. He hasn't looked the same after March in previous years and I suspect he's the type it's hard to keep spot on all season as he's so sore on himself. Fair variation in prices for the beast 6/4 to 5/2 I've seen. Looks a race ripe for an upset considering the time of year. Would love old boy Thousand Stars to run a big one, he's won this race twice.
Have a good one smokey. I trust you will be tuning into the Haye fight tonight. I'm thinking a Round 3 KO tonight lol
I'd have loved to have watched that French race - I'd opt for Simonsig - but I have other stuff to see to today and won't even get to watch UK racing until tonight. I still watch "as live" so its not all bad! Bet of the day is Bateel now not encumbered by Frank. Comp entries also include Matorico (NB) Chief Whip, Moonrise Landing and Profitable. Special mention goes to Imtiyaaz in the Cecil Frail, who I'm convinced will overturn form with both Marsh Hawk and Ridge Rider. The Temple Stakes looks a stroll for Romantic View based on that horse's single run, but it isn't the sort of race to get too involved in. Good luck lads
