He'll have to wait for M'Villa and Kalou to finish their medicals 1st!

Fingers crossed this is actually happening and we get it wrapped up nice and early. As opposed to most of our transfers where it is supposed to be a done deal in May and between July-September the player is still reported to be flying in for his medical!

Rumours that two players have been seen at the Colney - Xhaka and possibly Breel Embolo a young, highly sought after striker

David Ornstien also now reporting the Xhaka deal. Subject to medicals now apparently. I usually ignore all media outlets bar him so that's encouraging.

£30m which is £10m more than his clause which comes into effect at the end of this season. Obviously we're worried about other interest to spend that.

That is very promising, Ornstien is very, very reliable - so looks done. Excellent to fill a gap in an obvious weakness before the season has even officially ended! And to not haggle over the price, just ruthlessly get it done.

Hopefully this won't be the last!

Xhaka seems like a good signing for us. He's not a DM as such but he's 6'1 and an aggressive all action style midfielder.

Perhaps a sign Wenger is moving away from the tikka-tikka approach and going back to his roots?

I've never seen him play and I literally know feck all about him bar what I read the last few days. However, the media has convinced me to be livid if we don't sign him. Hello silly season!

LOL I know what you mean - I've become convinced this guy is going to be the answer to all our midfield problems... despite never seeing him play!

I watch the Bundesliga a lot and he's a class player. Very good signing for you.

Anybody got anything more on the rumours for Morata and Kante ?

I can't be arsed to trawl through reams of speculation and BS

Judging by stats on whoscored.com he passes loads, tackles loads and intercepts loads. Probably would have played more this season if he hadn't been sent off three times :cheesy:

Thanks Pisk <ok>. Hope all is well with you.

It's been a while - how is the Wenger fanclub holding up??? I don't fancy looking back at the last few months of posts (well, before last Sunday anyway)... hopefully Frère Xhaka coming in should settle people down a little.

All good my friend thanks. There's a fair split between those who want Wenger gone and those who want him to carry on, we had to part ways with A87, but at least we can all have that conversation now without it descending into chaos. Better A87 went than Wenger is the moral of that story :)

Don't know much about Xhaka to be honest but Wenger seems to rate him fairly highly if he's going to spend big money on him. I'm hoping we get a decent striker this window too. We need it !

Rumours are Sissoko and Arsenal are keen on eachother.

He's had 3 really good games since he came here. 90% of the time he's garbage.

Please take him, the lazy twat.

I would like him at Arsenal. Big, powerful and quick be a good addition to our squad.

    1. He's a DM/Deep lying CM. Newcastle playing him on the wing or as an AMF is insaine.
    2. When he's on point he is cleeeeearly your best layer.

I'm liking the rumours so far..

Xhaka IN Arteta OUT - Xhaka gives us more pace, power and aggression than Arteta. He's also a leader and still improving at 23.
Sissoko IN Flamini OUT - Again replacing a fairly lightweight player with a guy who has pace, power and presence. May not be a starter but an excellent squad addition.
Morata IN. Wellback OUT(injured) Crazy fee being thrown about but Morata would give us pace, size and technical skill up front. Unlike Giroud Morata is a guy who is happy to beat a defender and shoot.

The interesting thing here is that we seem to be moving away from the 'tikka-tikka' small technical players back to the old Arsenal with a big athletic side. That would make me very happy indeed.
