... courtesy of the BBC Four years ago today a certain Jamie Vardy signed for Leicester City for £1m from Fleetwood Town. "I got to sit down for a chat with Nigel and this is where I wanted to come," Vardy told BBC Radio Leicester at the time. "You see the facilities and I thought, 'yes, I can see myself playing here'. And obviously because the manager wanted me as well it made the decision easier. "He said he'd been watching me for quite a while, obviously if I've caught his eye I must have been doing something right." Feels like he's been here for decades. He's the heartbeat of this club at the moment. Everything good about Leicester City is reflected in Jamie Vardy. In a few generations time there will still be football fans talking about how Vardy and his band of merry men took on the rich and beat them in their own back yard.
... I remember thinking £1m wasn't huge in the market ... and I'd every confidence that he would be worth at least 1/5th of Ade Akinbiyi
I went to see my doctor about Waghorn. He told me to cut down on the alcohol and the problem would go away. Sorry, I'll just get me coat and leave.
