Problem is Jonno, the ball needs to come over the top for him to play or he needs to feed someone like Cody. The guy is a tank and it takes two or three players to hold him down, so it opens up space for his striking partner. You only have to look at the clubs he's played for Northampton, Gills, Wimbledon - League Two or One at best. You mention his head, but his normal style is as a feeder, back to wall, over the top, on his chest & down, one touch into the created space.
The top clubs feared his high levels of fitness may lead to a case of sudden adult death syndrome so therefore had no option but to fail him on a medical basis.
