OK, we can let the cat out of the bag now. I contacted good old my mate Commachio and told him what I was doing so that if anyone took me seriously I could 'plead the fifth'! It started on an Australian Rules Football message board about a year ago when someone posted "Happy Birthday to James Bond Legend and lifetime Carlton supporter, Sir Sean Connery" (and I'm thinking, I didn't know Sean followed Australian Rules) but instead of a photo of Sean he posted one of Michael Caine. Of course, muggins me was first in wasn't I saying that he had posted a photo of Michael Caine instead of Sean. My comment was quickly followed by dozens of others calling the bloke an idiot, lame brained, effwit among other things and posting the correct photo's. The Original Poster acted completely gormless of course saying that he had seen The Ipcress File, Alfie and Get Carter and that it was definitely Sean Connery. We all fell for it until we realized that he was having a lend so we started posting Happy Birthday's to Sylvester Stallone (as another life-time Carlton supporter) and then posting a picture of Robert DiNiro. So now you know. I posted a Raich Carter tribute on another thread and good old my mate Billy Bonehead posted "Is he sure it's Raich Carter"? Love it.
You're not joking mate. Between seasons now so a lot of speculation on all message boards regarding transfers rumours and the like so we need something to keep us occupied.
