The Telegraph have always been kinder to us (or more realistic if you like :)) than others.

You mean they've always written about us like we were any other football team. Not seeming to admire our achievements whilst trying desperately to undermine everything we do at every possible stage in a season.

The Telegraph shares that honour with the Guardian [and Observer] and the local Echo. The Echo you'd expect it from. The other two are the only national newspapers worth reading. And that's not for Saints news either.

Excellent piece, particularly the last paragraph. How could Koeman even think of leaving us when we love him so much? Well quite.

We want him to stay, he loves the club and fans and wants to stay....huge challenge for the board to cock that up. :)

I would love to be a fly on the wall for those talks between Ron and the board. I think it would make interesting listening. Ron will be the first to acknowledge he has made mistakes this year. Luckily for Saints though he seems to learn fast as has the players around him. Of Saints fan base I am guessing he has probably over a 90/95% support and even with the doubters they acknowledge he has done well.
From a personal point of view I cannot see Ron signing a long term contract extension as he is just not used to long term contracts. I think he may well be persuaded to extend for a maximum 2 years, although more likely 1 year. The board have got to overcome the one stumbling block though that came out in the January meetings (as I mentioned in a previous post) As previously said I would love to be a fly on the wall for this one..............
We are behind you Ron.....lets be having you!!!!!!!

I'd be delighted if he signed a 2 year extension, meaning another three years from now. Come on Les and if he doesn't sign, threaten to bring Ralph in to the negotiations....

Nice article, however Pelle didn't make a bee-line for Koeman. Not sure who it was, but not Koeman.

Pelle went to drag Kelvin out for a group hug which Ron (obviously) joined in with :)

Thanks guys... just saw the red top disappear under a crowd of players... and I missed the face as I was jumping around like a teenager.

Shows what a lovely bloke Graziano is. His first thought on scoring was for Kelvin. Nice moment.

Do we have any nasty players, or even players who are just not nice.? Even Osvaldo was kicked out of the club for actually being a wrong 'un [slapping Frans's toy-boy was very bad show]. No Roy Keane types need apply here. :)

It is interesting as over the last few seasons I have often wondered if we needed a bad boy on the pitch to rally us when things are not going well or we are getting bullied. In the end though, I prefer what we have and the way we do things.

I did (I think), however, notice, that Graziano wanted to take Bertrand's penalty. He was (seemingly) told he couldn't take it, and I believe that Graziano was consequently the only player besides Fraser not to celebrate with Ryan when he scored. I was a bit disappointed with that.

Jordy Clasie hangs around outside McDonalds in Shirley with a few other lads, intimidating some of the customers on their way in and out.

Yes, but in his defence he has to be home by 8pm, so it's never late in the evening causing problems
