    Rafa Benitez speaking to Match of the Day: "I said before the game that I am really pleased with the fans, the staff, and people here.

    "My heart is telling me yes (to stay), it is a great opportunity, city and club but my brain is saying to analyse what is going on.

    "I am really open to talking and see what happens. I have been in football all this time you want to be sure people love you and if you work hard that they recognise that you are trying your best and I have this here.

    "I knew that every day when I walk in the streets. Everyone is so positive and the atmosphere today doesn’t surprise me too much. They were supporting for 90 minutes, I knew it would be like this and that is why I am so open to keep on talking."


    I for one would be comforted if he stopped. Would rather have Rafa asManager and be relegated than McTufty still being Manager and scraping 17th and staying in the PL.

    He is making all sorts of comments that he doesn't need to if he had decided to leave. He could just say that he wasn't even thinking about next season yet and then catch a bus out of town.

    He is considering it. So maybe.

    It's mostly going to come down to what other offers are on the table for him. If Everton offer him the manager's job there then he'll go IMHO. If they go for someone else then I think he'll stay.

    If he does stay, then that's the title place taken already! Which will not go down well with some of the Championship sides, but who cares, stuff Kairdiff as well for us please...........<laugh>

    Evening lads, I can't see it just when was the last time we got what we wanted ? If he stayed then the future is really bright and happy days to come if/when he goes then it's the panic stations as I can't see us coming back for a long time.
