Yet will have spent a smaller percentage of your time in the top flight and more in the 2nd and third tier (somewhere we've not been yet, though time may yet tell on that one!). You have 6 domestic trophies to our 10.

You can stick manipulating statistics "in your hoop" if you so wish. I don't go in for that sort of thing, nor do i go in for homoerotic euphemisms but whatever floats your boat I guess.

 

Think i would rather have the 6 League titles personally. At the end of the day both clubs have a very similar record, what pisses me off is the Geordies superior complex they have when both teams histories is pretty similar.

 

Think you will find we have 8 domestic trophies and i think (though can't be certain) you have 9. Like i said similar histories, but the way you lot go on its like comparing Man Utd to Man City.

 

How many of us have been over on your board saying we are better than you, or quoting statistics? Genuine question, as I haven't been over there to check.

 

Agree entirely. There's no other club in the footballing world we have more in common with than Sunderland in my eyes.

 

I have no idea how many you've won, but we've won 4 league titles and 6 FA Cups so that's 10 if we are only including domestic trophies.

You may be correct. I think (and stress think) that we have 4 leagues and 6 FA Cups, and not sure where i got the numbers from for you in my head - just looked it up and wiki says you have 8 (6 leagues and 2 FA).

Neither of us have ever won the league cup - all that Boro have to their name!

Well you never know, you might end up there again one day. As it happens, Sunderland have played 15 seasons in the Premier League and average about 39 points per season. Added to your flirting with relegation the past four or five seasons, I can see the trap door opening again fairly soon for you.

It would have to be geographical Albert, in the sporting field Sunderland's record is so far in front that it is highly unlikely any living person will see it overtaken by Newcastle
