I think the two league wins made them think it would be easy but football never turns out like it's expected
the highlights are always on sky website a few hours after the match during the season it meant we didnt have to endure channel 5
Cheers John but got to admit while the wife and daughter were watching Britain's got talent I watched this about 40 times last night but now you have put it on here I will watch it again
Sky are crap… 'a lacklustre Derby side'.. a 'Scott Carson error'….. even after the match they tried to end every excuse for them.
Amazing what a huge performance like yesterday can do for club moral. Thx to all for support, same goes back to all. Prefer to keep it football talk though in my posts now as enough going on at home. Football is an escape for many, unfortunately many have run out of time and won't potentially witness another day at Wembley but like I say, let's keep it real and concentrate on Tuesday night.
Have to say a well done to Steve Bruce and team, they got it right yesterday. Work has been consuming my life so wasn't able to make it. Bring on the home leg!
Lots still to do. Great result, but not as silky as some are saying. Defensive error and clearance led to first goal, fluke for second, third excellent. Tactics had to be tweaked to play Thudd properly; Bruce struggles with that one. Ince wasn't ****, Dave was mint. Jak was fine, get off his back - you'd think he'd thrown the ball into own net or something as daft as that. Decent game of football, good attitude. Supporters' were immense, truely inspirational.
All to easy to single out Ince,he left us for pasture new and human nature kicks in to mock. Just don't want him wound up with a point to prove Tuesday night. Going back to Ince as a player,I never did quite understand why he did not grab his chance with us,he can certainly win a game on his own but even Derby dropped him apparently? Maybe that's part of the equation with him, and again only speculating here but perhaps Bruce expected more from Ince off the pitch, and in the end perhaps it down to who the lad was listening too and what effct that was having at the club.
I got the impression Bruce thought his work-rate wasn't all that but if you look at this season he's mostly had no trouble picking Diame who seems to be at a similar level. To be fair going on yesterday Bruce has been proven right as Ince couldn't step up when needed, like you say though I can see him having a good game still on Tuesday so a bit early for some to be mocking him
All a bit strange really as Mo has also blown hot n cold all season. No doubt it will all come out in the book Bruce will probably write one day but all thoughts now on Tuesday night.
