To be honest I've always found it strange that he was ever a winger since seeing him play. He's good going forward but I think he's better defensively and looks perfectly suited to the fullback role. I wasn't expecting that when hearing about him from the Brentford lot who said he's a winger first and foremost.
Moses Thudd The City Supporters (Elmo if need one out of the other 12) - it was a joy to be part of that following, best away atmosphere for ages.
1) Moses Odebajo 2) Andy Robertson 3) Dawson just........Over Huddlestone Great team effort when each and everyone of them was on top form.
Moses Huddlestone Snodgrass Moses was superb, Huddlestone clearly the best central midfielder on show and I love the way Snodgrass shouted at anyone who didn't do as he assumed they would. He's got an inferno in his belly
Snodgrass is great to have in your team. He's a right whiny bastard and I used to hate that when he played against us. But it's not just at refs. He demand perfection from his team mates. If someone makes a daft decision on the ball he makes sure they know about it. Since that's normally one of our weaknesses I like to see him doing that.
Yep what you need, a bit of passion and heart, couldn't agree more, he's got those kind of devil eyes too Snodgrass on the pitch.. great player
Dave - A dominant attacking display from RB. He was absolutely outstanding Abel H - Brilliant performance, some quarters have questioned his goal as being down to poor keeping? It was down to bloody brilliant centre forward play! He shaped to look like he was going to curl the ball to the keepers right, Carson took a step to the right - Abel then slotted it to the left bottom corner. Awesome. Robertson for third - his goal, timely and probably killed Derby and the tie. It requires Derby doing something no team has ever done before! Special mention to the rest of the team who collectively could all be selected in the top 3 positions. The hassled, harried, defended and attacked as a unit. Not at all what I was expecting given the ongoing in fighting at the club. Maybe, just maybe.
My view on it was, Hernandez created it from nothing. If Carson had stopped it he would have got loads of plaudits as to how fantastic a save he had made. I don't think he made an error, he was just beaten by, as you say, brilliant centre forward play. Odubajo Dawson Huddlestone The whole team also appeared so much more together than when things were going tits up. Lets hope we can keep it together for another couple of games.
Great all round team performance - that's what happens when you pick the right side and put round pegs in round holes - no dicking around putting Odubajo at left back, no dicking around putting Meyler in right midfield - just the best 11 in the right places and what happens 5 1 against Rotherham and 3 0 against Derby - hard to pick a top three because there were many standout performances - I actually thought we won that game in central midfield and on the flanks - so I could have picked anyone from Livermore, Huddlestone, Odubajo, Robertson, Snodgrass and Elmo but for me Huddlestone - ran the centre Robertson - for hopefully killing the game off Odubajo - best performance in a city shirt to date
Excellent point on Hernandez, i was surprised a lot of the papers have it down as a Carson mistake when Hernandez clearly wrong-footed him and made the space in the corner to slot it home
Just watched the game back again, alot more relaxing when you know the result. Hudds - totally dominant performance little got past him and great passing range. Dave and Robbo - it says something when you're 2-0 in the eighth minute of extra time and you're furthest forward players are full backs.
