Well I know where he goes for his Italian Coffee and sea view, so I'll have another little chat with him roofer!...............
Hey Phil, ask him if he's ever had intimate relations with a moose when he was younger. Roofolini: there was 'whining' because we were ****e. During those particular games (Villa, Leicester, Toon) we played the worst football since promotion, without doubt. But there was praise when we were good too. The West Ham game we played some of the best football since promotion. The Manager always carries the can but gets the praise if deserved. If you want to make excuses every time the team plays badly and let the Manager off the hook that's entirely up to you. As for microscopes, well every manager in the Prem is under a microscope as Valley has said. He'd better get used to it.
The manager has a limited shelf life and the longer he gets the majority matches right the longer he will be in the job and that is how it should be but Guildo's job is made harder as he don't have full control of his destiny as he should have and that is wrong. Monk and Curtis were in the same position where monk was forced to play jinx's players that monk never had anything to do with acquiring. No manager can work like that and as sure as eggs are eggs Guildo wont either.... A good manager is a manager who is responsible for everything on the playing side and gets results and is judged fairly. If then a manager who has full reign on everything and fails then he is fairly sacked.......I don't like a manager who is made the fall guy when the poor sod has far to much hindrance from the chairman and board and cant play the team and the way he wants the team to play and Not so much Curtis but Monk was made to field players especially Gomis game after game after game......I can see this happening to Guildo if jinx overrules one of guildo's players for one of his own and Gildo is forced to play him. Ofcourse it may work out and the player fits in well but what if it don't like Gomis ...are we to see that player always on the team sheet and he is useless because jinx bought him......No The chairman and Board should leave well alone and trust the manager who they employed to do the job...
You're missing the point (I keep that in a Word document so I can paste it in when replying to your posts). You may well be right on Monk, and you may well be right on who should sign players. But listen to what has been said by Guidolin. That's the way he has worked wherever he has managed so this may well have been initiated by him. Saying he "won't put up with it" is laughable when that's exactly what he's been doing at other clubs without complaint.
Im sorry Aussie i don't believe any manager would want any interference from anyone let alone people who know nothing about the playing side of things. Guildo has been pressured into saying these things. Why would any manager want to play second fiddle not being able to run things his way....i think its a bloody insult to him and his staff...
I agree that most managers want that control, and I would if I was a manager. But it's not inconceivable that some don't. If Guidolin says that's the way he's done it at other clubs, telling the board the type of player he wants and leaving them sort it out, then I believe him. He comes across as genuine to me.
There is a simple answer to this, neither Monk nor Guidolin had to take the job they were offered and if they thought that the supposed hindrance from Jenkins was to much they could of always first said no to the job at the end of their first season or at any time during their time with the club. To me it suggests that they were both happy with the situation.
How can you say that about Monk. He took over not as manager but as someone who knew the club inside out and he obviously sat down with Jenkins and explain what he would do different and fair play it worked. No manager wants to play second fiddle to the chairman ffs....All chairmen should be banned for ever interfering with the manager and the players he wants......What is the point of guildo saying he wants messi for instance and Huw buys Gomis .......If Guildo wants a certain player and he is available then that's who we must go for and not someone else that jinx picks........jinx should never be allowed to choose any players full stop...we have seen his choosing and they are not the right players...
Its just a name or another player as an example ffs i could have said bony or any other striker better than gomis.....its just a name valley nothing else....whats your problem with that...
Managers don't sign players the chief executive does on behalf of the club. Lets hope Jenks listens to Franco and only signs players he wants.
I see Big Sam has made Ayew a priority for Sunderland in the summer . 12 million is a laugh though . Liverpool for 18 million if he goes anywhere .
Trundle it took Bony half a season to get going on the back of a season where we had just won the Capital one cup and Michu had bagged over 20 goals. So I would think palo deserves at least that and more to get going, given he came to a team struggling for goals, had a new manager with players learning his style and were low in the table.
I think Paoloschi's done well. OK he's not had much game time but his touches and interplay are excellent. He's not got the eye for goal that Ayew has but I hope we keep him.
Arsenal plan 20 million £ shock move for Williams .......And it starts ......2% of this stuff ever pans out .
He has had half a season. I am more than happy for him as a no2. he has never been a big goalscorer and if we want to stay up next year we need better than him. I just think he is average and a tidy enough sub. all about opinions.
