    Unlike some, I see no reason we would want Ron out if he said he was only staying for next season....unless it suited us because someone we wanted was available. Firstly, because he is a damn good manager and it would be interesting to see what we can achieve next season and they might still retain a hope he'd change his mind if all went well.

    Be great to get a clear answer this weekend, but the chance to torture us will be too tempting for all concerned. Cue Ron making a fudgy statement that will put the media into a tailspin with a final weekend of football where the Champions and relegated teams are already known.

    Think it is time for my kidnapping plan outlined earlier in the season...can someone store Ron until the Everton job is filled. You may need considerable mayonnaise.

    He'll stay. Le Tiss has spoken (on Twitter).

    There can't be much doubt though Fran, that taking a manager who has said he is not staying into the final year carries an element of risk. We have seen many times before players not quite delivering when they know a manager is on his way. The only exception I can recall is Sir Alex Ferguson

    Hopefully we will arrive at St Mary's on Sunday and there will be 3 sets of tables and chairs on the half way line, ready for Ron, Vic and Sadio to come out and sign new deals :)

    A bit off piste, but I found it interesting that Ron said (at the awards) that he was under no pressure from the board during our dry spell. He said they spoke to him, but were more relaxed than he was. :)

    Feel sorry for Ron, just how many times does he have to say it.

    You can see how these journos work can't you.....

    Everton need new manager;
    some bloke hears that Frank de Boer is interested and heard it firm his brother, Ronald.";
    He tells another journo that everton's new manager will be some Dutch bloke;
    His mate asks him where he heard that and he tells him a Dutch bloke called Ronald

    "Ronald Koeman wants Everton Job" becomes the headline :)

    I nearly had a heart attack because I heard the discussion on Sky from another room. All I heard was the word Ronald and it being up to Everton to make the approach. <yikes>

    I blame these Dutch blokes for having names that are awkward to spell....capitals or not capitals. Hence VVD and LVG.

    Easy to do with media quoting his brother to confuse us!

    Perhaps RDB will assist him and then we can have a 2v2 brothers game before our next Everton fixture

    I know bookies odds don't mean much, but they have been slashed alarmingly.

    If they were to ignore a story that's on the back pages of most nationals and Ronald did go to Everton, coining in a lot of winnings for punters in the process because they didn't cut the odds, heads would be rolling at the bookies.
