I make the point every week at this point how qualifying for cl and ending up 4th seeds is rather pointless. I've also recent shown how spurs have been consistent for year and as a result will get a decent ranking in cl and chance to progress 5. Europa turned a very average season into a memorable one so far.... to dis it now is extremely odd
I think that as much as nobody is happy with that performance, it is a game that we would have lost in recent years. Anfield is becoming what it should be again, somewhere where we don't lose often. We got a point so we move on hopefully get 3 v WBA and keep everyone fit for the final. Joe Allen has played himself into the team imo and should start the final on this form.

Where to start.. Well, how about the 3rd/4th minute, when there was a 50/50 and Clyne pulled out.. That there told me the lads weren't going to risk injury for the Final. The Chelsea players saw this and ran riot at times, knew that they wouldn't get rattled! To be fair, they played some nice stuff, but our intensity wasn't there, they were allowed to play and I felt cheated by that performance. I do hope Klopp gave them a damn good verbal bashing at Full time! But.. Hazard, what a player, if I were a Chelsea fan I'd feel cheated that he's pulled out a performance like this but appears to have gone AWOL for most of it. In the end, we didn't lose, no one got injured and these players should be good to go next week. But that performance was well below what is expected!

you are right. same for lallana, same for milner as well. normally he'd be aon a yellow for diving in in the first half and he stood back and never touched hazard... he then got read the riot act at HT and did beeter second. That's the thing - not sure if we can read too much into this match. Yes, you expect them to still give 100% every match but they're human and will obviously have one eye on the final. Despite playing gash of The majority of match, we still salvaged a draw and had several big changes throughout the game.

Could it be that we don't sell Benteke? Could it be that Klopp doesn't see the need to change the strike force? We have varied options up front in Sturridge, Origi, Benteke and Ings Could it be that Klopp wants to enforce the quaility behind the strikers? AM, Winger? A CM that can control the pace of games? A couple of FBs, CB and back up goalie? IF we sign Gotze, with Firmino, we'd have a couple of players that can play the false nine roll too.. I wouldn't mind big bad Bentekers staying, scoring 10 goals in a "poor" season isn't a bad return! How many goals would you expect your 3rd choice striker score? Not many would bag 10 goals!
Also all these sitters Benteke is missing.... seems to me Bentekes got great off the ball movement to be getting all these chances... unless by sheer luck they just happen to fall into his lap all the time
If you avoided passing to players because of missed sitters Lukaku would never touch a ball for the rest of his life
was meant to be backing you up.... Jimmy mentions all the sitters Benteke misses, for someone whos barely played and got 10 goals, he must be missing loads of sitters to have got that many goals... which means his movement to then receive the ball is impeccable (something jimmy regularly criticises)
