Scratching my head after that from Midterm, was hard to watch right from the moment the race started, never settled, start stop, never looked comfortable, never went a yard really. It wasnt the same horse I was watching at Sandown, he was beaten before the race even started today. The winner is a decent horse, I expected him to finish 2nd and go for the King Edward. I'll be keeping the faith with Midterm until he is pulled, if thats what happens, as something obviously not right today, be it mental or physical, and there must be a good chance now he will not run.
I suspect the old butt plug was inserted. It is the only excuse I can find for such disappointing runs.
A strange race in a number of ways and another York head scratcher. I was getting excited about Choreographer turning in and I'm putting a line through that based on Atzenis Spencer-esquire ride up the rail where he almost head butted a couple of the horses in front of him. He was travelling lovely and I'd hope he takes a chance at Epsom if Mr Varian was watching the race and not the bare result.
Couple of the maidens have run well in the last few days Held up and cruised into the race but couldnt quite get to the winner who made all and was beaten a head staying on strongly, he looks like he wants a bit further than 1m1 and he shouldnt be a maiden for long. Was disappointed with his first run as I really liked his debut last season and he was only knocked off my main list late on, left that well behind today stepped up to 1m4, traveled well into the race and came back on the bridle 2 out, put the race to bed and stayed on strongly. Be interesting to see where they go with him now, wouldnt have a problem dropping back to 1m2 again I dont think Might be skipping handicaps after impressive maiden win and subsequent performance of Imperial Aviator who he ought to have beaten at Liecester.
http://www.sportinglife.com/racing/news/article/465/10285080/so-mi-dar-misses-oaks-test Pity she's out as she was doing a lovely job keeping MINDINGs price out. Hopefully she'll make the Irish version now.
Hopefully. But I wouldn't back her for it given the trainer's words "I'm sure she'll probably be back for the Irish Oaks". What sort of language is that?
Some rotten luck from a punting perspective on the Oaks but another cracking effort to find a Derby trial and an Oaks trial winner from your list again Boris! Maybe you'll find some joy in amongst some of your others.
Maybe she'll run in the KG at Ascot and the Arc. That will ensure another visit to the Arc if she goes for that
Think you'll find I actually wished her well. Could have very easily posted a 'Lolz' post at you losing money on her just like you did to me on Sunday but I've more class than that. I leave the vindictive and personal nonsense to others
A horse being lame and a 4/11 shot getting beat not really the same is it, and as I said, if it wasnt for your Midterm nonsense I wouldnt have said a word about your binger. That being your first post about a horse on this thread, I wouldnt describe as class, seems like you rushed on as soon as you seen the news. I didnt even know till this morning.
Its hard to to see So Mi Dar being out of the places now in bold, was that part of the well wishing class? I know you dont care about me losing money, nor I you, its not about money lost, but dont pretend you werent loving it.
Funny you say that about me rushing on to post but I also remember you 'rushing on' to post numerous times to make personal attacks. It's not something I'm into. I'm lucky enough to have a busy work and family life that an injury to a horse isn't really a big deal to me. Banter between us is generally that, and I try to keep it as such. It's when you quote losing tips, or sublety like them, that serves no purpose other than to anagonise and make yourself look of poor character. My 'Midterm nonsense' wasn't even something I started, I merely laughed at the ridiculous hype you give it after beating a Derby 40/1 nag by a length. Champion stuff indeed! I call it keeping you in check, it differs from coming on mocking non descript horses getting beat I've put up as a bet for the day. Your last post is also somewhat disappointing. I've always been sympathetic to horses getting injured and don't think you really needed to say I was loving it! The fact you feel the need to say that about me losing money to the bookies isn't a help to the forum either. It always gets a bit personal with you. I try to keep it civilised. Anyway life's too short for pettiness. As I already did at the very start of this thread, I again wish you good luck (even if you don't me!).
Midterm not completely ruled out of Epsom Eddie. Acccording to RP article he sustained a hamstring injury in the Dante. Not surprisingly his condition being monitored before a decision on whether to run will be made.
I could have worded that better maybe, what I meant by "I know you dont care about me losing money, nor I you", is that when we slag each other for a loser, we arent laughing because the other person lost money, we are laughing because they were wrong, the fact that money is lost doesnt even register, thats why I said its not about the money, its about being right or wrong. At least thats the way it is for me. I dont for one minute think you take any joy in me losing money, nor I you, might have been better way to put it. You try way too hard to play the insulted, innocent victim, no one is falling it for it, and "personal attacks" from me? dont be so dramatic. You say you wished me luck, but you didnt even say unlucky with So Mi Dar, that would have been a touch of the class you have apparently bestowed upon this thread. Instead you chose your first post since the start of the thread to deliver the worst news of the thread, and bolded a statement of mine that is now wrong. Then you try to play the well wishing, class act As I say, no one is wearing it.
Whether thats reputation damage limitation or truth, I dont know, but as I said at the time, I wasnt watching the same horse from Sandown.
MIDTERM has a stress fracture and perhaps that goes some way towards explaining his performance. I'm certainly prepared to give him a chance and Algometer did the form no harm today.
