I was still in the army and vividly recall being abroad and, as I was on duty I found some time to go to the Mess to enjoy a very welcome drink; they put the television on and these sights greeted us. It was shocking beyond belief, it stunned and horrified us, it caused tears in grown men, it made us feel so bloody helpless and angry. We should make sure something like this can never happen again. It is not a case of remembering them, I will never forget them, I can't, a small part of me died that day. RIP
There is some absolutely horrific footage somewhere of fans running onto the pitch completely alight from head to foot. Made me feel physically sick. RIP to the 56.
Awful and unnecessary. We sometimes mock Health and Safety but this shows why it is really needed. Respect to fellow football fans out to enjoy and celebrate, who never got to go home again. RIP.
RIP. I can remember been in London after city beat Brentford only time we knew about it was later on when it was on the front pages of the papers. RIP

We all come on here and repeat our words year after year. RIP to all those poor folks. I'll be making a toast to the victims.
I remember watching this as it was unfolding. Absolutely shocking. No one should ever go to a football game and not come home. RIP the 56
Unfortunate accident , I believe . Made worse because apparently they were storing a lot of paper under that stand .
Well , that was rubbish sorry . That was meant to be a link to a report , stating that it was an Australian who dropped his finished cigarette . But it rolled through a gap before he had chance to stamp on it to extinguish .
For the Bradford City chairman to be associated with one fire is unfortunate. With two is a coincidence (although detectives say there's no such thing as a coincidence in their line of work). To be associated with eight fires is very rum indeed. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/apr/15/bradford-fire-stafford-heginbotham-martin-fletcher
Very interesting, think I'll buy the book this week, if you look At the photo of heginbotham, he looks very guilty.... Dead man walking...I remember at the time thinking There's more to this than meets the eye....
