Whilst Manchester United's U17's compete in the Milk Cup final over in Northern Ireland our U 15's have already won their final earlier today having played 5 games though the tournament. Well done to them all & let's hope there's a few budding superstars of the future for the first team in 5 or so years!
There are competitions for all age ranges and for countries as well. I think we used to enter in more than one age range as this one is the most well known youth tournament but certainly this year we only entered one comp. I thought I read somewhere that we have sent a team to a Dutch youth tournament as well but not sure.
Yes, but we were playing in the Junior Section - and in that section there are Plate, Bowl, Vase, Globe and Cup finals. So what does winning the Vase actually mean? Is it the highest level, the middle or the lowest?
Taken from the official website for the tournament: THE 'JUNIOR' SECTION (U-15s) - Qualifying Competition. Each team will play 3 qualifying games with 3 points for a win and one point for a draw in all Qualifying games. On the basis of points gained in these matches, teams shall qualify for the following competitions: 1st to 4th Semi-Finals of the Northern Ireland Milk Cup, 5th to 8th Semi-Finals of the NIMC Globe, 9th to 12th Semi-Finals of the NIMC Vase, 13th to 16th Semi-Finals of the NIMC Bowl and 17th to 22nd Qualifying tournament for the NIMC Plate Good reasoning, archaeologist
