Nani and Anderson were both incredible talents. Anderson in particular wasted his. I recall him bossing Gerrard and Fabregas two games in a row when he was still a teenager and hadn't completely become addicted to burgers and crisps. Remember that video of Evra and Ferdinand catching him scoffing his face on a flight during a pre-season tour?

This is true. Why would anyone want Sanches and Hummels when they have Lucas and Skrtel? Tbh Hummels wasn't even remotely a shock - I think he'd decided to move to Bayern a few months ago as his agent spent the last few months chatting about it in the press. Sanches was a bit more unpredictable but still likely to go to Bayern as long as they were interested - Bayern are so dominant in Germany they are essentially a guarantee of trophies and a decent European run.
Hummels to Bayern was on the cards for a while so yeah not a shock. Imagine being a Dortmund fan, I'd be pissed with Bayern BTW - Lucas and Skrtel > Hummels and Sanches
