We're playing good football, our players are in fine form, we have a goal to fight for, playing in front of home crowd...everything really points to a win. I'm fairly certain we are going to dominate in this match, but as this is football, that doesn't mean we'll necessarily win. Tough we are.
The strange thing was that I wasn't as excited as I thought when we beat Spurs, then I realised why.....I expected it. Even when we went one down, I still thought we'd pull it back. If as a fan I felt like that, my guess is that the players also believe it. Of course we won't win every game every time, but I truly believe that we can beat anyone. This I think is what happened to Leicester...they weren't taken too seriously at first and then, by the time teams got worried about them, their confidence was sky high.
Hopefully Palace will rest their big guns. They seem to always beat us and have the perfect tactics to do so when they are playing well (which they aren't).

Still very enjoyable, but just imagine if they had needed a win to stay in touch with the title! Oh my, that would have been another level!
Indeed. Increased expectation has its downside. But then there's a heck of an upside that brings about that expectation.
Come on Saints. Looking forward to the party Saturday. Will be heading to the old farmhouse which is usually good on the last day of the season. I'll be bringing Richie's wife along (I think Richie is planning on joining us too ), so hopefully the sun will be out in the beer garden and a few not606ers will be present. Hopefull Fran too and perhaps we can tempt Godders with a promise of a large whisky?
Ok FLT I will let the wife know what time you are picking her up............................and maybe me
Huh offering a large whisky to Godders? Don't take the offer Godders its a waste of time...Been waiting for a pint he promised me for nigh on forever!! Incidentally am trying to fit in a trip to the pub guys....Just in case I get a shandy bought me.....you never know..... Cant get to the game though my young grand children make very strict demands of granddads time!!
Listen you cheeky old beggar - get your butt to that pub and I'll buy you that shandy! Lager or bitter?
I don't think Arsenal or Utd will finish in the top 4 next season. I'm not even sure that Guardiola will hit the ground running. Obviously it all depends on transfers this summer, but I would expect the top four next season to be something like this; 1. Southampton 2. Spurs 3. Aston Villa 4. Eastleigh But then I don't always get these things totally correct.
Most definitely a bitter shandy...Ta muchly........Oh and not so much of the bloody old thank you.......
It's been hard enough this year - The Premiership, The Premier League - I never know what to call it!
