Well that's that then, was hoping Huw would have blown him out, oh well it's all down to buck now to get this one to mature, going to be some fun and games me thinks, to come our way! I hope Danny boy keeps him sat on the bench................ please log in to view this image
If Buck wants Lita , why would Huw stand in his way ? Everyone is always so quick to blame Huw without any knowledge of whats going on , it amazes me .
I, like many others, have some concerns about his behaviour off the pitch, but I reckon Buck can keep him focussed.
fantastic news a proper premiership player with bags of experience....well done huw you know it makes sense. now get a goalkeeper and a couple of defenders Brendan and we will be ready for anyone...great signing...
Well Buck wants him and has been chasing him for a year so I'm willing to give him the chance. We all know about the dual threats of physical and pace that he brings to the frontline, and he is a proven goalscorer. There is also the point of him having matured and developed since his early headstrong days and there have not been any big stories about him for a few years (unless I missed something). I think our first choice striker is going to be Graham which means Lita is going to be coming off the bench or in a rotation system. this means we're not relying on him and if he does show a poor attitude then we are not weakened by it unless Graham is unavailable. Not the signing I'd have signed (I'd prefer Emnes - though there is a chance at both) but it could turn out to be a very good deal if he can get amongst the goals since he's cost a small amount. I'll put my trust in Buck once again and see how it plays out.
BR has worked with Lita in the past so knows what he's like. Why are you all so against this move? Do you really think that BR is incapable of judging players?
Give lita a chance for gods sake. He's still a very young and hungrey player at the age of 26. Could be his last chance to play at premiership level so i feel we'll get the best out of him.
I'm not over the moon with the signing, but then I'm not disappointed or have any concerns over the signing either. He's a tidy player, with potential to be brilliant if he can get himself really focussed on the task at hand. I look forward to seeing another player flourish playing in our system, as I know that Buck wouldn't sign anyone who can't play the 'Swansea way'. However, as I work in Basingstoke I do work with and see a lot of Reading fans. My workmate tells me that Lita's first touch wasn't that good while he was at Reading. This will be an area that we'll have to work with him on probably, as Borini has shown that having very good movement and control is the key to being a successful striker in our team.
I've been like the rest of you to be honest - less than enthusiastic. But having checked the stats his career scoring record is 100 goals in 288 appearances whereas Graham's is 86 in 262. If we're cooing over the latter then we should be over the former - provided he grows up.
He wouldn't Breezy! But the last time Lita was in talks for personal terms, he wanted 1.2 Million signing on fee, I was just hoping he'd be as daft as that again, as Huw would tell him where to go!! But it's done now, let's just hope the kid has matured, and by the way you lot who can't understand the reluctance of some of us to sign this one, we don't have to like every bloody signing, so stop waving your nickers in the air over the fact please!.......................... please log in to view this image
