George Thorne broke his leg today, their lynchpin allegedly and their poodles are already whimpering. Steve Bruce outwitted not only Warnock today but also Darren Wassail. We rested a few last week and now we've hit top form today just at the right time, lots of goals scored by different players, confidence restored, everyone fit and focussed. Meanwhile over in Derby, **** result, home defeat, no goals scored, doubts in their minds, regretting not playing a few stiffs.
I had the same thought, 'lets do it for George' etc.etc. I suppose it has to help us really but other factors come into play sometimes
He was always liable to be a Thorne in our side. But they've got that albino kid back in their team now.
Talking of filling Thornes boot, maybe this guy could do the job? Best wishes to Thorne by the way with his recovery
They've only got Will Hughes, Jeff Hendrick, Jacob Butterfield and Bradley Johnson to replace him with.
After a positive start to the thread it seems we are back where we want to be. Self harming is so soothing.
Let them worry about City, two games to show once and for all if we really are worthy of the Giddy height many on here don't seem to want. Well done Boro and Burnley btw. Bruce OUT
I'm not that bothered about Derby (or the other teams), I'm more bothered about whether Bruce and our players turn up or not.
Understatement. thought he was really poor with his passing sideways and backwards constantly. got more into though in the later stages. Hope Thorne makes a quick and speedy recovery.
Thorne's had two broken legs in two seasons, poor sod. Hope he recovers soon, one of the best midfielders in the Championship.
Clinton Morrison was on the Channel 5 show, he said he's seen Derby and Thorne quite a few times this season. He said he sits in front of the back four and a lot of Derbys play goes through him. He said they'll miss him.
