Elmo Jake Abel Tough call... apart from Elmo who was back to his best, any of the players could have finished in the three!
Snodgrass Livermore Hernandez Excellent performances throughout the team but special mention for Odubajo and Robertson - they both made really positive runs from the start and it made a huge difference.
Robertson Livermore Elmo. Also, a mention for their number 8. During the first 20 minutes he was terrific
Livermore Elmo (Thanks for finally turning up, you ****) Snoddy Really hard to leave off a good few players. Nobody had a bad game.
Livermore for me today but I have concerns today about defensive midfield vulnerabilities as did SB in his interview with Burnsy. Brucie gave those concerns as his reasoning for bringing Maguire on as well as restating the footballing qualities of Maguire and that he is hard to get the ball off. The finger was not pointed at anyone for the defensive midfield weaknesses but for me it was Huddlestone who was too casual at times and sloppy. I also worry that if he thinks he is going to be released (SB said this week he would like to keep Elmo but no mention of Hudd) then he may be pre-occupied with not risking injury as no footballer wants to be crocked and out of contract with no wages.
Glad Jake scored cos i thought he was **** before that. Really had his head down. Hopefully the goals have picked him up. This performance was us in a nutshell. Looked great chances then conceded to piss poor play by... you guessed it Tommy H. He'd already done one bad **** up before that. Then we scored . Was it at 1-1 or 2-1 to us we gifted them another opportunity and the player sidefooted it just wide of the post. With Jake and Tom nowhere to be seen.
At least we should be grateful that Meyler wasn't around to continually lose the ball and break up our attacks
