You've got to give credence to his post today since it is on the Official Site, although I am a tad surprised that it's being made the day before our last game of the season. My head says, it's a nice cushion if things don't go to plan tomorrow. My heart says, in Fulham I Believe.

Anyway Slavi said, " We need to rebuild the team, this is what we have to do. It’s not a question about one player or two players, one position or another position, we need to change everything. This next season is my season"

    The rest of the article:

"Slaviša Jokanović knows a significant rebuilding job is required if Fulham are to enjoy a more prosperous campaign in 2016/17. Chairman Shahid Khan has confirmed that his Head Coach has been given the green light to build a side capable of competing at the right end of the table – something Jokanović fully intends to do.

“What we’ve offered this season is not ambitious enough for a club like Fulham,” he explained. “Our priority is important recruitment and to build something different to what we have actually right now. We need to be working with more ambition in the games, in the training, in the office. We have to show ambition in the transfer market."

“In the four months behind me I’ve had a chance to understand how big this club is, how big the support is. Today we are in 21st position in the Championship. It’s very important people support us, but we need to offer them some reason to do this, and I’ve spent these four months understanding what I have in my hands, and what is in front of us."

“Next season they’re going to expect me to put this team on a different level. They’re going to expect to see Fulham fighting for the top of the table. I’m very motivated, I arrived here thinking about important targets.”

Let's hope a few of the players take that as a challenge and use tomorrow as a chance to show that they should still be part of things next season.

Can it be any clearer than this:

I take the decision. I am head coach. I have my decision and this is a club job. I expect the owner is going to be at the game and I'm going to have a chance to speak to him after the game and I expect he's going to stay a few days with us. “I want to give him my opinion about the best way for us. I am not the one who has the money in the pocket. I'm not the one who buys and sell the players. I have my opinion and my decision and I'll make it clear to the people who are doing.”

Unfortunately no, because of the sentence I've highlighted - Rigg (it would seem) and the Analytics (it would seem) are still in the picture.

That was Slavi in an interview with the local paper. Picking up on the point the Captain made above, in the article Slavi confirmed that decisions will be made pretty much immediately after the Bolton game about those out of contract, so it may indeed be the last chance saloon for some. He said, “After Bolton, it's our obligation to start to rebuild something and regroup and think about the future. It's many things we have to do behind the scenes. I can't tell you everything right now.” Adding that Mr Khan would be at the game and "staying around for a few days".

OK so comes Monday morning and Slavi who "always" reads these columns decides that he would try and
    sign who the 606rs wants.
So you regulars who will it be, note Messi & Ronaldo are not currently available

    6 players for me......

A strong commanding championship Centre Half - Grant Handley

    Left Back - Husband

    Def Mid - ?

    Left Wing - Alex Pritchard

    Right Wing ( pace) - ?

Forward ( to replace Dembele) with pace and work rate - Nakhi Wells / Lookman

With the rumours of Mitro having a £7 mill clause in his loan Contract and reports that we could get £8 mill comply if Dembele goes to an English club that should cover all six signings

There are a few players from League One who might be worth a shot. Marcus Maddison from Posh would be a decent winger and Nicky Ajose might be worth a shot as a replacement for Dembele. I think it's probably too late to sign Bradley Dack, who seems set to move to Celtic.

Gudmundsson from Charlton might also be a good winger and I think Nakhi Wells is worth a look. Dominic Ball on loan from Spurs might be an option for the CB spot alongside Stearman or Ainsley Maitland-Niles on loan from Arsenal could be a good risk for a winger spot.

I hope we do our homework this year and pick up some young bargains rather than just signing the an older player of the year from a club for an overpriced amount.

Some interesting names on that list, my choice
    goalkeeper Marshall / Vorm
fullbacks l/b DaSilva attacking left fullback, who also doubles up as a winger from Chelsea
    " " " r/b Bidwellt " " " " right " " " also a speedy tenacious attacker from Brentford
centre half if they don't get promoted Dunk of Brighton a bit raw around the edges but a 90min player
right wing Judd of Brentford at the moment injured but a great turn of speed.
Moving Hyndman further up field in a more attacking roll
Selling Mitro! ~ Dembele ~ Burn + another couple we could have a pot of 14/18mil I would try and
splash out on a known goal scorer Rhodes or similar

I still have a ? On my right winger but having thought about it Anthony Knockeart of Leicester, steadied a stuttering Brighton, is not near the Leicester first team and has pace and goals!

I recommended Knockeart the season before last! He is actually on Brighton's books having had a spell at Standard Liege, and a very good player, Leicester wanted to him renew his contract but turned them down. He probably regrets that now!

De Laet on loan from Leicester to Middlesbrough, the best full back in the Championship, would be a choice of mine.

Center forward, again with a Leicester connection, David Nugent, goal scorer and real character on and off the pitch. Oh, he also helped a certain Jamie Vardy to become the player he is.

Liam Moore is another Leicester player we should look at, was a regular in there promotion season with performances that catapulted him into the England u21 set up but has not had a sniff since they have been in the premier League, can play left back and centre half

Sauntered down to our training ground at MP had a chat with several of those that work there
,the consensus was that several of our best players will be leaving in the close season together
with those out of contract, therefore its vitally important we look into the market as soon as possible.
Does anyone know how many are out of contract

Believe that list is correct SuperBri. Interesting that of the loans (shaded entries) only Madl has an option to buy.

Guess it has moved on a little in that we know Burn, Garbutt and Labyad won't be with us next season. Also there is a long list outside of the 'first team squad' whose contracts end summer 2016:

    Arthurworrey
    Dawber
    Donnelly
    Elworthy
    Evans
    O’Halloran
    Pino Soler
    Plumain (option)
    Sheckleford

Thanks for the list C58, the only ones I would retain are
    Donnelly
    Plumain
    Sheclkleford
Very curious about the extension to Parker

I don't mind retaining Parker as a player, though the sticking point for me is wages... The rumours were he was on £70k week where as I would not have offered him more than £10k as an extension!

Could be he just wants somewhere to call home while he takes his badges, but he has started doing media work so I guess he might give us a high profile on the box too. As you say I'd hope wages were down, as I think we need better and wouldn't want him to be first choice.

I'm keen to see what Slav does, if Khan puts faith in him he could definitely improve us - promotion might be unrealistic for next season although can always hope. If Rigg has too much influence and Slav doesn't get the players he wants to play a system suspect he'll walk away. I know it's not why, but when I heard about Parkers extension I did think for a moment it's Riggs motivation to keep a senior ally on side that's brought it about. His wages must have gone down though and I hope his role will be less on the playing side.

Of the players we've got I'd like to see Slav build around Cairney, Hyndman, Christensen and Fredericks. At the Championship level I think Fredericks could be a really good right winger in a 442 or 433, if we could get a player who will play as the defensive midfielder and a quick left winger I think the creativity in central midfield along with pace on the wings would make us dangerous and give a lot of service to whoever is upfront for us next season. I reckon Ross will go in the summer, wrote before that I think he is a good player and goals kept us up but we could be a better team without him. Hopefully Emerson will sign a contract.

Sorting out the defence and the cohesion/balance of our team have to be the priorities - since Roy went our recruitment, along with the various "philosophies" of the managers come and gone, it seems like we've gone from the system we play being most important to accomodating more creative but tactically indisciplined players at expense of structure, especially with defence. Leicester and big Sam have shown again this season like Roy did that a focus on the team with a clear system and responsibilities for players can go a long way and I think this is what Slav is going to change for us.
