Spot on, Can sat in front of the CBs, at times making it 3 CBs.. at times being the base of a lopsided diamond. I've always felt that's his best position, were times when he got the ball deep and ran with it, when he did, Milner had the intelligence to stay back, that's what any half decent CM pairing should be able to do without thinking about it, one goes forward, the other holds.. His passing from the back was superb, I don't think he misplaced too many passes. A bit like Firmino, Can needs to deliver these levels of performance regularly, he does so, he'll be some player!
yes milner was AWOL from CM for a lot fo the game freely attacking but when can did go, there was milner back. especially second half. Well done milner.
Didn't always do it, something that can be improved upon and we'll need to be more disciplined against Sevilla, they may not be as good defensively as Villareal but they are better going forward..
All I want to know is when we 'rest' players for matches like these why can't the replacements who step in do the job? please log in to view this image
Liverpool beat a pretty impressive team yesterday , but the Reds were ready , willing and able . Probably not a Liverpool fan that didn't have a case of " Awaygoalitis ".. But it became apparent to me semi early that you're worthy opponents weren't going to get to many chances . Meanwhile there seemed to be a desperation about moving the ball forward from Liverpool , even after they would score . No buses to be parked , just a pent up will to get another goal . And I got to say , the man running the show is showing .......Can only see silverware in final for Liverpool , and a pretty fair outlook on the horizon.
Amazing night at Anfield, again this season. Loved every minute of it, especially Klopp at the end Few smoke bombs went off on the Kop despite the tiny, pathetic sniffer dog presence. #NoPyroNoParty
I agree - I'm so surprised Emre Can managed to even put in a good performance. I think we're all dumbfounded by it lol. Major lolz!
Well that's made obvious by the fact you felt the need to bring it to my attention, a very unusual occurrence
