Villa stopped winning them when Franz Ferdinand got assassinated and teams south of Birmingham joined the league. That's before Arsenal cheated their way into the top flight and around the time of your 19th name change, by the way.
Before the Premier League , 2 Liverpool clubs had more titles than Man United . And then the money clouds opened .
Just to support Ruthie's comment, please can everyone bear in mind that only United were given the PL money and the fact that Liverpool outspent United in the 90's is not relevant to the matter in hand. Thanks people, stay focussed.
In 94 , 13% of all money coming into all 92 clubs coffers went into Manchester United coffers . 20 % of all money coming into Premier League coffers the same year went into Manchester coffers . I'm not saying everyone didn't have the same opportunity to market better , only that the money brought better opportunity .Off the heels of the Premier League stealing the football leagues 50 % tv money a few seasons before , the Premier League was a lesson in greed ....... and Man U was the best student.
Well if swansea were a better team and in the PL from the start, you may have has a slice of the cake but you weren't so stop moaning, UTD are the worlds biggest club and will always get the biggest cake
I feel so sorry for Mousers, that they are going to have to deal with so much disappointment. LFC, every season, is like a fresh chapter in the greatest Greek tragedy ever written. Homer would be an LFC fan.
