I know this is out of the box, but what we should try and do is score at least 2 goals and not concede any. We then may have a chance of getting through to the final.
This is true...the secret weapon! Milner will take 5 perfect corners he's been saving up all season and Lovren, Lala and Benteke on from bench will convert 3 with two headers and a back post volley! We win!
Villarreal's defensive abilities have been vastly overstated Yeah they can keep a lot of clean sheets in the ****test league in the world, but we could have easily had 3 goals in the last game except for our of lack of finishing, nothing to do with their defence Tonight we will smash them
50-1. Not giving details or I'll scud it even more but if it comes up I will give £20 to a charity of Tobes choice!
The worry is that we do **** all the easy way so I fully expect us to let them score within 5 minutes.
remember to vote on the ted thread guys. need 13 loyal reds.. only have 7 so far. don't be a jinx....
Ahead of today’s Europa League semi-final, Liverpool FC and the emergency services would like to remind supporters that flares, smoke bombs and other pyrotechnics are illegal and prohibited. Bag searches will take place at the turnstiles before kick-off and sniffer dogs will also be in operation around the stadium. Any individual who is found taking these items to Anfield or any other stadiums will face prosecution and will be banned. Merseyside Police Match Commander, Jon Ward said: “As with any match, the force has worked closely with the club, the local council and supporters to ensure this game can be enjoyed by all in a safe environment. Whilst recognising that some supporters feel that they can add to the atmosphere of the occasion, the increasing use of flares and other pyrotechnics at football matches is a concern. We fully support the club in working to eradicate this dangerous and reckless practice and would ask that supporters work with us. “The police and courts take these offences very seriously and prosecution can result in a prison sentence. I would remind people that this can apply not only within the stadium, but also in the surrounding streets and when attempting to enter the ground.” Andrew Parkinson, Operations Director, Liverpool FC, added: “We would like to remind supporters of the serious consequences they will face surrounding the possession or use of pyrotechnics and any other illegal items in Anfield Stadium. The use of such devices breaches ground safety regulation and any individuals found carrying or using these items could face prosecution and will be banned from the stadium.” A spokesperson for Merseyside Fire & Rescue said: “Flares contain chemicals and burn at temperatures of 1600°C (the melting point of steel) and can easily ignite combustible materials such as clothing. They can also cause severe burns if they come into contact with a person’s skin. Should pyrotechnic devices be ignited during the game, this could lead to the activation of fire alarms and subsequent evacuation of the stadium and abandonment of the match.” North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) Interim Head of Service for Cheshire and Merseyside Bob McGowan said: “I have attended matches where my colleagues and I have treated a number of patients who have suffered from burns. Misusing flares and smoke bombs can lead to smoke inhalation and put fans with asthma or breathing difficulties at risk. “Injuries from pyrotechnics can lead to serious health issues, so we’re advising fans to seek emergency help quickly should they come into contact with a flare and help prevent their injuries from getting worse. Our crews are fully trained and will be prepared with life-saving equipment to help should an incident occur.” Thank you for your continued support in keeping Anfield a safe and welcoming environment for all fans.
No one cares, there will be guaranteed smoke bombs there tonight. These ****ers want to treat us little cattle have us sitting down at their orders quietly for 90 minutes then leaving in an orderly fashion. #nopyronoparty
Well the sitting down stuff is different. nobody sits down all game. it sup and down constantly. But i think what you are seeing is UEFA have warned the club and the club has to be seen to do something and something real. If they've sniffer dogs actually out it must cost a fortune. I think the villareal guys were stronge ron it. they told you exactly what fine you'd get and jail term. I saw no flares that night but non were deserved so I'd have to wonder if there were flares ready to go... I dunno will nobody think of the children.
Good luck to Liverpool , thinking a 3 -1 victory at the final whistle . This game will be a sorta fork in the road for you're manager . The line up he picks and how that line up performs will say a lot about which road he klippity Klopp's down .
I haven't sat down once in the Europa League knock-outs to be honest (only the massive pile on when we scored the winner Vs Dortmund ) Reading it, it says bags will be searched, people probably keep flares disguised under their jumpers or something, I can't see them giving a full search to 44k people, that is just unrealistic and would delay kick off by about an hour. Heard a few lads say recently that they were searched for a night game (possibly Everton one) and that it was the worst search they'd ever received, so I don't really see anyone being prevented from bringing them in.
no i'd say they have a fiar idea which areas have been doing it honestly and will have more attention on those and anfield road end.. the main fear aside form injuries locally is some idiot throws on on pitch or into villareal fans. So I think the dogs will be down the main stand area and anfield road end. I'd say wrap in tinfoil will do most of the job and we might see one on kop. please log in to view this image Boom LUCAAAS takes MITO's whining out with a tee shirt cannon
Yeah, the worry is always that one idiot who ruins it for everyone else. I don't think its on par with that guy who brought a flare gun to a Wales game in the 90s and killed an old man from the stand on the other side of the pitch though. To me the smoke bombs so far have been all in good nature and have been positive additions to the atmosphere at the game. There was one thrown on the pitch against Dortmund but it fizzled out pretty quickly so wasn't too much of a fuss over it.
