Wages in serie B and C are nowhere near what players get in the championship probably less in one year, what players get there for 1 month. Cellino offers them slightly better money but with big bonuses its called dangling a carrot its the reason Cellino interferes because if a player is approaching their performance bonus he tells the coach not to pick them As for promotion bonus it means Cellino pays zilch Top players in Italy get top dollar Cellino wont pay their money
Why would Bellusci want to leave, would any of you on that money?. I think Bellusci will stay, he's good in our defense and he and Cooper are the best partnership we have in defense.
How do you work that out, in both seasons Bellusci played more than 10 and 15 appearances, therefore would've been paid his bonus's.
Are you sure it's thousands Elland, and not just the 80 or so that protest before some games. Hate Cellino hate his signings, detest his boot laces and loathe the soap he uses, with respects Elland, it's childish. Players should have nothing to do with peoples hatred for Cellino, they jumped at the chance to play for Leeds United, and most have done a better job than some of our home grown players. Some of Cellino's signings have become fans favourites.
It's just a comparison of avererageness right across the whole squad.... And yes quite a few will never forgive give him and his Cellino clique of cronies for pretending to be injured last year. He should have been sold right then as should the other five, including the lipstick painter!
Simon O'Rourke leaked these wages last night but what's the point? Standard championship wages, nothing more or less. If players aren't paid normal wages, nobody will sign.
Antenucci's a well liked player amongst many Leeds fans, so is Bellusci, Berardi's a fans favourite too. Was he faking injury Chippy, do you have the facts and the inside story on it, or just believing other Cellino and Cellino's signings hating fans. Remember Berardi at start, people were calling for him to be shipped out, which probably included you, I wasn't, I saw his potential and value to Leeds, now he's just been voted second in the clubs player of year to Taylor. Taylor deserves the award, but I would say Berardi pipped him, but only just.
Here's your translation Elland, "The table basically shows that those Leeds fans quick to indicate that Giuseppe Bellusci is a libility to the are, in fact, wrong and guilty of watching a single performance rather than a spread of games. Apart from his time at Catania, from whom Leeds signed him, Bellusci has a seemingly positive presence in the team. For Leeds United, and over two seasons, the team has performed markedly better with the Italian in the centre of defence. Last season, the Whites averaged 1.45 points per game with him playing (0.82 points when not) and conceded every 85.9 minutes when he was on the field (every 50.4 minutes when he wasn’t). This season has followed a similar trend with Leeds averaging 1.48 points with him on the field (1.11 when not) and conceding every 77.7 minutes when he was playing (every 65.7 minutes when he wasn’t)."
That's weird.... apologist was the word that sprang to my mind.......... Of course the validity of his argument is entirely proportional to how much game time he has seen over the timescale he is discussing......... Not one of these foreign imports is better than much of what is available in the English game and they are not worth the premium we pay them just cos the mad man happens to have seen them on Eytie sky sports.
