'Con'ner Washington!

we do have a prolific black striker in jet hes got five goals in ten appearences,harry cane and vardy are white and brilliant but somehow there always seem to be some brilliant black strikers in the lower divisions

 

I think he hasn't been given enough of a chance however you have to remember when you go looking for un-proven talent some will fail, how many pieces of rock needed to be picked up before Vardy or Austin were found ?

When bringing players through from the lower divisions you will have failures, successes and rarely gems, you need to except that there will be a fail out rate.

 

I am sure that Washington will come good. I look forward to seeing him at the start of next season.

 

Austin didn't exactly start with a bang for us. I recall people around where I sit questioning his goalscoring ability after he'd only had a handful of games. Washington has hardly had a chance yet - it's way too early to start branding him a failure.

 

I'll be gobsmacked if he doesn''t start Saturday. Let's go for it, 2 up front and some pace in the middle

 

Not going to happen as that would mean dropping Phillips!

 

although ive given so much abuse to conor he looks a lovely guy and nothing would give me greater happyness to see him score twenty four goals next season but watching what has happened to charlton athletic has made me frightened that we could get well and trully turned over next season with little or nothing up front im a very worried man
