Allardyce is clearly worried about the run in and the more he spouts rubbish like this the more his players will recognize it. Don't hear Alex Neill coming out with this rubbish even though they are in a "worse" position as things stand. All well and good trying the mind games but there is only so often you can try it and a weekly shot across the bows to your fellow strugglers comes across, to me at-least, as desperate. Just to clarify - how many of our players are injured due to Rafa's training methods? Colo - out injured long before and it flared back up after he restarted training, happens to old players all the time look at say Vincent Kompany. Saylor - The man can be injured in his sleep and is probably the most injury prone player of all time in the EPL. Janmaat - pulled a muscle falling over and then punched a wall...safe to say not due to training methods. Anita - is probably the only one who could be injured due to excessive training but I don't think our medical team have put a time frame on it and may have taken him off as a precaution at the weekend to be fit for Saturdays game vs Villa
I cant wait to see what he says next! I think his press conference on Thursday or Friday wll defo involve "Newcastle have all the pressure, Villa can go out and play with freedom, Villa need to do it for their fans, they've been incredibly unlucky and will put in the performance of the season against Newcastle" He will just keep going and going, but I for one am glad, let him think all about us and what Nufc and what our opposition are doing, he will just go ahead and name the same starting line up as the last 5 games, sit /them of the edge of their box and try and nick a 1-0, how predictable
Rafa knows England fairly well... He is starting to sound a little desperado. I don't really think it has any impact at all on our games or our opposition. Pardew was a little irked by his comments and he correctly labelled them prehistoric. The thing is Neil and Benitez aren't responding to any of it and just concentrating on the job in hand so he is talking to himself. The only team it will start to affect is Sunderland if they get beat at the weekend and Newcastle and/or Norwich get a result. The players/fans will then be thinking "shut up you fat oaf, you are not helping" If they stay up it won't be because he has been spouting guff for weeks, it'll be because they've put the points on the board and others haven't. I think a lot of it is just his misplaced arrogance and liking the sound of his own voice. He's never really changed.
And he never will mate. He will get binned by the Mackems when they get bored of hus hoofball then pop up somewhere else. I know one of the guys in the Holdsworth consortium at Bolton and Fat Sam is a stakeholder too. There's apparently been discussions about him going back to Bolton next year too. Watch this space.
Maybe these comments will work and Rafa will get riled and react to Allardyce's comments. Something along the lines of "it is a fact that fat Sam is a bell end". The witless oaf thinks he's being clever but Rafa will shrug it off. Sam thinks he's good enough to manage Real Madrid, whereas Rafa actually did manage them.
In your dreams, the reality would be a bit different, the only thing that would save you is your confused gender
Our lot just need to keep their heads down and make sure they beat villa at the weekend. Stay cool and they win it. An early goal would really help the nerves! My nerves that is!
ive always said its to easy to say we got games in hand ..there is a massive amount of pressure and none on the other team . would much rather have the points on the board .anything could happen .bad ref call , injuries ..and hazard starting to get into gear lol .. nothing is straight forward thats for sure
Games in hand arent that much help it also depends on the way you look at it. From my point of view the games in hand could be completely useless if Norwich lose to Man U the mackems to Chelsea, yeah they will still have a game in hand but how long can you play that card, having games in hand are absolutely pointless if you dont win them (get it, pointless! see what i did there!) people are saying chelsea have nothing to play for, but fairlure to win their remaining games could result in them finishing in the bottom half of the table, which for chelsea is a big thing. Man U are looking at top 4 still. I'm expecting really tough games for both our fellow relegation rivals. Villa will be tough, we are crap away, but we have form, we have put some good performances together and for the first time this season we have actually strung a good few results together instead of one massive win then 5 losses like we did under McTuftty Its wednesday and im nervous already, will undoubtedly feel sick on saturday!
I think everybody should just stop over thinking things and hope for the best. Concentrate all efforts on supporting our side at Villa. Get 3 points and then let everything else take care of itself. Predictions are meaningless at this stage. Its not even fun making them as there are too many permutations. Lets just win both games and see if its enough.
Do you think Sunderland will be as successful against Middlesboro next season as they have been against Newcastle for the past few years , remember the Boro will be playing with a lot of confidence
Can u imagine, move out the way Man City V Man U, We've got a friday night corker in the championship, Cattermole Steaming into johnathan woodgate. Who wants to watch aguero when you could have David Nugent. Sebastian Larsson over David Silva anyday. look your both rubbish, I for one wouldnt mind the boro taking your place in the PL, at least actually attempt to play football in the right way, not sitting on the peno spot chasing shadows and hoping Defoe might drag you out by the skin of your teeth. The biggest one man team in the prem, ever!
