Absolutely loving what Leicester have done. Just what a ****ing crazy thing. Great bunch of fans too.

But I've gotta say, seeing Spurs fail to mount any sort of a decent challenge is just hilarious. In years to come it won't surprise me if Spurs fans talk about 'the year they came second' far more than Leicester fans talk about 'the year they won it'. But to me there was no second-place team this year; it was just...

I like the fact that all the pundits are getting themselves into line already and saying a club like Leicester City will never win the Premier League again. But they would have said that, if asked, before at the start of this season. Of course it's possible. It is merely unlikely. That is significantly different.

Not to mention all the gooners who lumped on in January. And what price were Chelsea last August? London has single-handedly boosted Paddy Power's share price by at least 50%.

 

They were talking very earnestly last night about how this gives hope to every club and every player. But does it? Theoretically, top clubs should now be taking a more serious look at lower league players but I'll be that the opposite happens. They will feel that they must get stronger to stop this happening again and go out and spend even more on over-priced, overseas, mercenaries.

I reckon this will be a record splash the cash summer of spending.

 

It will be Lff, but not necessarily because Leicester won the league and the big boys don't like it. It'll be a record spend because everyone has record amounts of money available to spend.

 

I just have a nasty sourpuss feeling that this should have been us. If you said to anyone a year ago that an outsider would win the title this season, I'm betting most would have guessed Saints. #ashamedofself

 

True. But the big money clubs will not want a repeat. Then you also have to factor in the new manager scenario at Man City, Chelsea and maybe Man Utd.

The question I'm really asking is have Leicester made it easier for an 'outsider' to win a trophy or harder?

 

Difficult to answer because they created a miracle. Miracles are hard to repeat.

Suggestion that Dembele may face retrospective action for attempting eye gouging. That happens in rugby and is equally disgraceful. Handbags at dawn perhaps and the odd slap in temper, but no player should want to maim another for a game.

 

I know what you mean. I can't help wondering where we might have got to if our players had stuck with us and believed instead of running off as soon as someone waved a cheque book at them.

 

This bit makes it even more enjoyable... they should be looking very hard at themselves!
