The Foxes will have to put up with the neutrals , along with the hungry world media , as the neutrals look on in awe of all the " Big Value " clubs relegated to kneeling at the feet of Leicester .Hey , if Leicester don't win it , and they haven't yet , Spurs is a pretty good second choice for me .

Not really as i'd be on their board congratulating them as well tbh, i certainly don't think anyone (fan or neutral) sees Leicester as a permanent fixture in the top 6 season after season.

Its something for all fans to think back on as one of the greatest footballing achievements of all time. Don't think the support is patronising or insulting, i think most neutrals who are supporting Leicester want us to do it for football in general, not to prove a point to the big teams.

The only plastics i hate are the ones sitting in the seat i'd been keeping warm at the KP for years. Luckily im at a wedding when we play Everton, because if i'd missed out on purchasing a ticket to these so called "fans" that probably couldn't name 11 Leicester players, i'd be irate

The fat lady is warming up,

I, along with 99% of British football fans, simply could not fathom a scenario where a team such as Leicester could sustain a title challenge. I still find it difficult to believe. I still think I am in a parallel universe. I have never enjoyed being totally wrong more than I am enjoying this right now.

I will hold off the congratulations for now, but wow. If they had made a film about this everybody would have been watching saying 'nonsense.... it just doesnt happen.'

It will be an amazing and totally unsurpassed achievement when Leicester lift the PL trophy as it looks like they are going to do. Also this thread will go down as another one of those utter humiliations and an example of gobbing off too soon.

Gobbing off? Who has been gobbing off?

Humiliations? Nothing like making a negative out of a positive....

Those saying Leicester wouldn't win the league (most leicester fans were!) were doing so with the best of intentions - hardly anybody thought they were going to do it. That is why it is such an amazing achievement. it doesn't prove anybody wrong - if you had made a bet that Greece would win Euro 2004, the fact that they did win would not have made your bet any less bats*** mental - and if you had bet on Leicester winning the league in September, or even December, you would have been laughed out of the bookies - the fact that they have gone on to win it would not have made the bet any more or less of a controversial one.

The fact that nobody expecting them to do it is exactly the reason it is such an un-paralleld achievement.

And yes, I didnt give them a prayer until about 3 weeks ago. And yes, I am delighted to say they have proved me wrong.

Well said! And you're right, we all thought you would stumble at some point. It's to your credit that you haven't.

Ignore Piskie. His comment is just him trying to get a dig in at HIAG. It's all just part of their eternal feud.

  16. "Perhaps the closest - geographically and symbolically - to Leicester's season this year were the Nottingham Forest side of Brian Clough in the late 1970s.

Forest were the last team to win the English top flight for the first time, a record that Leicester are on track to match in the coming hours/days/weeks.

However, should this Leicester side want to match the efforts of Clough's Forest then they need to go and win the Champions League next year.

And then the year after that..."

(Taken from BBC Football Live website)

Remember those incredibly foolish individuals who tried to argue with me when I said that Forest's achievements eclipsed anything the Foxes might achieve?

  18. United push hard and Leicester crumble. If the other two teams they have left to play do the same, the fairytale ending can be ripped to shreds and the hack journos will have an even bigger story!

Dare we, as Spurs fans, dream that we're still in with a shout?

    What do you lads think?

    No wumming, obviously, please.

    1-1.

In a second the dream is over once more.

Sorry, but the media decided half way through this season that Leicester were to win it, and that has basically pushed them over the line. See the Drinkwater stonewall pen, see Huth physically assaulting players in the box game after game, see so many dodgy pen decisions...

Leicester have been good, great even, but the media agenda has put so much pressure on Refs it's a joke.
